We loved having Krista perform at our wedding at Allied Arts Guild. From the moment we found out the venue did not allow amplified music, we knew we wanted to hire her as our live musician. Her repertoire is incredibly extensive. Working with her was a seamless process as we could listen to her samples online and complete a simple music form with our song preferences for the ceremony and cocktail hour. She also accommodates an extra song request that is not in her repertoire (we chose a million dreams from the greatest showman). Krista is exceptionally talented and hearing her music in person was incredibly special. I will never forget when we first heard her playing in the distance as we were taking pre-ceremony photos and our guests were arriving. Thank you Krista for elevating our wedding and making the day so memorable for us and our guests!

Krista brought pure magic to our SF City Hall wedding ceremony! From the moment we reached out to her until the big day, she was not only incredibly helpful but also super professional and great at keeping us in the loop. Our guests absolutely loved her performance and even sang along to many of the songs she played! The harp added such a beautiful touch to our special day. We cannot recommend her highly enough!!

We were lucky to have Krista perform at our wedding! I had heard amazing things about her even before our engagement, so of course she was one of the first vendors I reached out to once we started the wedding planning process! She was a joy to work with. She was accommodating with our music request and sounded amazing live. We received plenty of compliments from our guests. Thank you, Krista!

Krista is an amazing musician and person. My wife and I have seen her play at some wedding events before and were always super impressed by her work. We were trying to hold back on budget because we have gone over in a lot of other areas and a harpist wasn't part of the original plan. What made my wife fall in love with Krista though was her rendition of wish upon a star. She almost cried when she heard it. Why did it sound so amazing? Krista used to be the official harpist at Disneyland for weddings! It became my wedding gift/surprise to her. I hired Krista without her knowing and kept it a surprise until she walked down the aisle. She was very surprised with jaw to the floor. I communicated with Krista via email and she was very accomodating to my requests. She worked with my coordinator and DJ and everyone got on the same page. We chose all the ceremony music together which included some great selections as guests were being seated. It was an amazing touch to the wedding and guests really enjoyed her playing. Guests came up to me afterwards and were singing her praises. After having her play at the wedding, I couldn't imagine it going any other way. It was spectacular. Krista really does bring a nice romatic and elegant touch to any wedding and the look my wife had when she saw Krista playing was priceless. If you're looking for a harpist, I would definately recommend meeting with Krista.

Krista is AMAZING! She is not only incredibly talented (go check out her website to hear her music!), but she's also kind, patient, and thoughtful. My husband had really hoped Krista could play one of his childhood favorites for his walk down the aisle (an old, Chinese pop song), and KRISTA DELIVERED. My husband and I were so moved that she was able to learn and play the song so beautifully. She also gave great recommendations for song choices for our ceremony. So many of our guests also expressed how much they loved hearing her play. I'm so happy we found Krista and had the chance to work with her. My only regret is that we didn't book her for longer!

This is long overdue as Krista was our harpist at our wedding a little over a month ago. Our venue required live music during the ceremony and Krista was on the venue's approved list, so that's how we found her. And I'm so glad we did because she did a fantastic job! The music was so beautiful for our ceremony and I loved the romantic vibe it gave off. Krista was incredibly friendly and professional, very efficient in responding her emails. Her website has a ton of song selections and she was very flexible on the songs we wanted for the bride's procession, during the cocktail hour, etc. We did not even need to meet in person prior to the wedding and she did a fantastic job! I would absolutely recommend her for your wedding!!

It was worth every penny and I'm also helping out a small non-profit venue brings great entertainment to the Presidio area. The lounge offers great wines at a discount from their sponsored local bay area wineries. Whites, Reds, Chardonnays. I took the Train, the Ferry, and a Lyft to get here. Seeing Lisa Fischer live on a chill SF afternoon was cool. She took time to meet her fans, thank them, and take some selfies. My seat was first row in AA1. I took some great pics and videos that I have to post on YT because they are beyond the 30 second limit. Her band was the Grand Baton. I left a picture of the setlist she performed. Some great covers and a couple of songs from her album from 1991. If you're not a Lisa Fischer fan, interest fact is that she was tour background singer for Luther Vandross and The Rolling Stones in the 1990s. She was also featured on the documentary "20 feet from Stardom" Such a great film. I have heard of this theater, but never actually went inside of it until now. it's a nice cozy theater with a stage and two level seating the orchestra and the section behind it. Any seat you can have a pretty good view point. I came here for an artist talk called "Art at the Presidio Theatre: Andrew Pick & Ursula Xanthe Young". Andrew Pick, a pastel and oil painter based in San Francisco, trained at both the City College of San Francisco and The Art Students League of New York. His plein air paintings capture the city's streets, skies, and hidden corners with immediacy and intimacy. Ursula Xanthe Young brings her signature blend of intricate architectural motifs, feminine iconography, and dreamlike cityscapes to the space. Her work--well known throughout the Bay and beyond--draws inspiration from the urban world around her, reimagining San Francisco as both myth and Memories. This show was moderated by returning artist Rhonel Roberts, whose own work opened this series. This is a chance to hear the artists discuss their process, their paths, and the shared landscapes that inspire them. Yes, there is much going in this area with one Presidio Go Shuttle bus and one muni bus 43 Masonic that actually comes into this park. The 30 Stockton bus stops by the Sports Basement and it is also a 4 minute walk up the stairs to the Presidio tops park. I happened to follow Ursula Xanthe Young work and found she did a skateboard exhibit at the Minnna art gallery too, so obviously I am going to check it out and that is why both these reviews are now posted back to back

Loved the cozy, intimate nature of this venue and comfortable seatings…read more We visited for the Demetri Martin Quick Draw Tour, and it was a perfect size for a standup comedy show. Demetri was able to engage with the audience in ways that aren't typically possible in a larger venue (like the Masonic). Note that the venue can be hard to find, especially if the event was advertised as being at the "Palace of Fine Arts." The Theater is around the corner, and there are very limited signs. Like many reviewers, we spent time wandering around trying to find the entrance. It is on the west side of the venue, not near the famous dome. If you're driving/Ubering, be sure to enter the destination as the Theater, and not just the Palace of Fine Arts, as the entrance are on opposite sides of the property. There is very limited food and drink offered, and you're not allowed to bring any food into the auditorium (covered drinks are allowed). This was a bit of an inconvenience for a show running 7-9pm right during dinner time. We were hoping for at least some popcorn for during the show. Bathrooms are small and awkwardly laid out, leading to long lines, confusing, and tight spaces. This is made worse by the fact that each row is ~50 seats across with the only aisles on the ends - this makes it very hard for anyone not seated on the very ends to leave during the show to go to the restroom. As a result, there was a massive rush to the restroom after the show and a 20 minute wait for the men's restroom (I shudder to think how long the women's line was.

Turns out that everyone had to stand in this will-call line to get physical tickets even though they were purchased online. Seemed odd, however, show up early to avoid the line and enjoy the scenic vibe around before the show. There's free parking (after 4P I believe) super close to the theater-- literally steps. We had to lock up our phones in a pouch for this specific event but it's so beautiful indoors as well. They had a bar area that many people enjoyed. Bathrooms are a bit crammed but nothing new to venues. It's a more intimate venue. It reminds me of a large college class room. Each seat seems like a great view, even last row. We found our seats easily, space between seats are more spacious than other places, no cup holders sucks but you can put your drink under the seat if needed. Audio and lighting was good & I look forward to checking out future events here.

To be specific: 1) Planning - YPT was incredibly helpful and responsive in helping us think through our options for the day, including picking a theme, talking about timing / dates, and thinking about how many people to plan for. 2) Logistics: As luck would have it, our date was exactly the same date and time as A) Farmers Market, and B) a huge auto show. So there was no way that anyone was going to be able to park at all. Neverthelesss, we were able to get everyone into the space, and it was no problem starting a few minutes late. Not only that, the pizza somehow arrived exactly at the right time, with no lunch delay at all! Also, the space was exactly the right size for a party, and the lunch area off to the side was perfectly laid out. And even the goodie bags for kids at the end of the day were well thought through, with age-approriate toys for all. 3) Finally, the event itself was fantastic. Our Director (Kim) was a perfect combination of high energy + great listening to the kids. our Group was not an easy one (the Pirate theme kept threatening to devolve into a plot of a Boy Ship Sinking the Girl Ship), but Kim kept everyone on track throughout, with a fantastic attitude, and had all the kids smiling to the very end.
