And although they weren't able to deal with the severity of the injury, they made the arrangements at the hospital I eventually went to, to be treated for it. The staff was caring and informative and they got me in quickly. When I did get to the hospital, they were waiting for me. I wouldn't hesitate to use this facility again in the future. But, I'm hoping I never have to again, if you know what I mean.

AND HE DELIVERED!!!!!!! About a year later we started decreasing the frequency of the sessions and believe it or not, that was it. Unfortunately, Dr. Corcoran not so much. Dr. Corcoran does not seem to understand what continuity of care means. Recently i had a experience where i was "mailed" a prescription that was never received. I contacted the office (Thank you Terry!) and decided to wait a couple of days to no avail. Contact the office again and was informed that My PCP was on vacation, explained my situation to Debbie (office "manager") and asked her to then have prescription mailed to work since they seem to always have a problem mailing me, although no one else is. After 1/2 day, she calls to inform me that they wont mail a new prescription because Corcoran is not "familiar" with me. Mind you these are not narcotics. When i again told them i have been off for a couple of days, Debbie' s response was "well, there is nothing I can do" i asked to have either Corcoran call me or i could call at a time most convenient and was told that was not happening either. I am sorry, but if you have my 10 years medical records to your disposition and you are that lazy to take a look since you are the MD of the practice and rather not be bothered by those pesky little things such as patient care, maybe is time to change profession.

When I asked him what the hell he was talking about he said that he preferred doctors to be not to hot or not to cold. In other words not just out of med school because they don't have experience and not just about to retire because they might be a bit burned out. My doctor at East Greenwich Family Practice, Dr John Slattery, is indeed like fine porridge. He's old enough to have a lot of experience but not old enough to stop caring. Perhaps his finest quality is the ability and desire to listen. He will patiently listen to my stupid complains and then make comments or suggestions. His examinations are complete and professional but with a sense of humor. When he noticed I have quite a few scars from various mishaps he said that I should think of them as memories or souvenirs. Good idea. The light hearted approach helps things go by quicker and easier. It can be a bit difficult to get through to the office because nobody ever seems to answer the phone and for some reason things like prescriptions and faxes to the pharmacy can take longer than necessary. However the actually interact with Dr Slattery has always been excellent.

She takes most insurance plans so most people only pay their co-pay at the visit. I have called her after hours and she immediately responds. I don't know many other docs that do that. She never uses language like junkie, bad urine, etc. She is completely in tune with her patients who all love her. The review by Rebecca J. is totally off the mark. The office is always clean, our appt's are always on time. I have been there when an unruly patient demands to be seen without payment. This is so disrespectful for Dr. Lisa. Do you go to Walmart and not pay? Do you go to the gas station and not pay? No. So if you don't pay what you owe and then turn around and call Dr. Lisa a glorified drug dealer you are so so wrong and I hope Dr. Noyes-Duguay sees this, as I will tell her, and I hope she sues Rebecca J. In addition, I know Rebecca J. personally and when anything does not go in her favor, she lashes out. Trying to hurt a doctor who has helped so many is unconscionable.
