Their coffee machines are espresso makers that have been converted into premium brewed-by-the-cup coffee makers, each uses a reverse osmosis water filtration system, fresh beans are added regularly and then ground fresh with each cup for your drinking enjoyment. I always thought that the screen that flashed at the check out had something to do with points. But this time I asked. I was informed that it's just "asking for a donation" and when I think about how many times I saw this and I wasn't asked I was shocked. It wasn't a long time, but in an empty store with two employees visible, I felt ignored. Then I thought, maybe they think I'm not ready, due to where I was standing. So, I walked up to the register and watched Jon stare intensely at the beverage dispensers from the kitchen area. He came over and assisted me, hurriedly, and then rushed off. He seemed annoyed when I asked if I could have a receipt because he had to come back to do so. Because I'm nosey, I stuck around to see what the issue was over by the drink dispensers. I watched him walk up to what I believe was the coffee machine and watched as he grabbed a cup from underneath the dispenser and brought it up to his lips. Turns out that he was just jonesing for a hit of caffeine!
