I was in there for like, half an hour, 45 minutes tops and even I could tell the management was super toxic. I saw an employee leave the lobby empty of carts and the manager didn't react or seem to care at all, but then another employee came and did the same thing later (which literally isn't a big deal at all??) and the manager went OFF on them about company image/what customers think/whatever. I'm talking actual yelling, not just talking sternly, raising their voice LOUD, loud for everybody around to notice and be visibly uncomfortable, which is a lot worse for their image than whatever they were accusing the employee of. You have to bag your groceries many times yourself because the baggers are to busy get carts and doing Chad the so called janitor job .I don't think he actually cleans the toilets.I always notice the baggers doing his job and them people wonder why carts get behind or baggers are struggling to do there own job because there being told by Jennifer to do chads job.people quit because they get taken advantage of by Chad and manager Jennifer. How about get rid of Jennifer or make her go fetch carts herself since the baggers are to busy cleaning the store to actually do bagging and carts unless they run it's impossible.How about get A janitor that, actually knows how to clean and A manager that can do more than just cashier and bag! I was delighted to find a Kroger's in Piqua, because I LOVE Kroger's fried chicken...up to now. Somehow, the manager who runs this one missed the seminar on frying chicken. I bought two pieces, a breast and a thigh. The breast was so dried out, I could have used it to sole my shoes - inedible. The thigh was only a little better because thighs are more moist anyway, but that is the only reason. I give THIS Kroger's a F on the breast and a D- on the thigh - together, not passing marks. I was pleased with the produce section. Far superior to the produce section I found at the other super market in town that starts with a W. With the exception of the gal who served me the shoe-leather chicken, everyone in the store acted like they had just sucked on a lemon before starting their shifts. What a bunch of sourpusses. I'll likely go here again for the produce. I'll go elsewhere for everything else and make sure i use the self-checkout so I have someone pleasant ringing up my purchases. read more

This store is.. Ok at best. They have very few check out, maybe 2. Most times you have to bag your own groceries or else the poor check out girls get really behind. The total worst though, is the parking lot!!! It, is HORRIBLE!!!! There are huge pot holes, really deep that if it's raining, you may never see until you do serious damage to your car. The exits in front of Kroger and down the strip by R Pets are terrible. Very deep holes. Come on Kroger.. You can afford to do better! If you care about your customers, you need to show it. You have no problems taking in the profits, cash etc.. Now it's time to show your customers that their cars that they have worked hard for, are important to you! read more

I placed my grocery order online and went to pick it up at the assigned time. After waiting for quite a while once I arrived and got checked in an employee came over and informed me that 'some' of my order had been given to another customer. They said that the other customer had been called and was returning to the store with my items. After waiting for about 15 minutes the customer finally returned and it turns out that my ENTIRE order had been given to the other customer. The employee comes out and just starts tossing the bags with my items into my vehicle with no care given to what may be in the bags at all. I asked to speak to the manager and after another 10 minutes someone comes out to my vehicle. She refuses to give me her name and isn't wearing a name tag so I find it unlikely that she was actually a manager at all. Her response to my concerns was "Oh well, mistakes happen. What do you want me to do?" I couldn't believe how rude she was being over a screw-up by THEM! I told her that I wanted my fresh items replaced because I couldn't be sure if they'd be safe to eat since they were in the possession of another customer for who knows how long. Her response to that was "That's not going to happen. Your items are fine." I don't know how she would know that since she didn't even look at the mess in my back seat. After leaving the store I called the main number and was transferred to a manager whose response was essentially the same. He didn't care that my entire order was given to another customer and refused to return/refund any of my items for safety reasons. Corporate was absolutely no help either. Think it may be time to start shopping at Walmart or Meijer I guess. read more

I could not believe my eyes when I turned around! I always go to self check out, just because I do not like to be bothered and like to do my own check out. I had my toddler with me (sitting in the shopping cart) and I had my baby with me who was at the moment crying (laying in the car seat, covered up with a car seat cover due to flu season). I hear my toddler saying "mommy a lady is touching the baby" Me thinking before I turn (how can someone touch the baby if it is covered up with a car seat cover?) But the I could not believe my eyes. The self check out worker just walked herself over and pulled the carseat cover off the car seat, grabbed the pacifier and tried to stick it in its mouth saying to me "the baby was crying and you looked stressed out" What the HELL does she think she had any right to just touch my baby without asking!!! Definitely when it was covered up with a cover and on top I had a HUGE RED sign saying "please don't touch the baby". I was so pissed off and what gives her the right to tell me I looked stressed. I was not even stressed. I was just trying to get out the store because I knew my baby was hungry. Never returned to that location again read more

Love their fruit and vegetables! They are fresh, in good condition, and priced reasonable. This is a large store with lots of items to meet a variety of your home needs. They have am in store deli and bakery both of which produce some tasty delights. read more

I like this Kroger, and shop here often. It is in a nice location, employees are generally friendly, and the prices on a lot of items are really pretty good. Overall, if you need a big chain grocery store in the Piqua area, this is a good one to visit. read more
