This Kroger warehouse definitely sucks when it comes to unloading a tractor....i have been here for hours and was told this would not take long but I have been up since 6:am driving this load to its destination only to sit at the door for several hours more!! The workers here suck and so does the timing it takes to get out of here!!! They have been unloading my trailer for hours doing piece by piece...if you can avoid coming here, please do....they really suck as a company and the system to get the trucker out of here is even more ridiculous!!! read more

This lady got rude with me and then tried to put my bag in my cart while flying it through the air almost hits my daughter trying to do so. I live in Tennessee but used to live in Shelbyville. At one time I had a Kroger card. I stopped in this store to buy something for my wife that we can't get in Tennessee. The item I bought was on sale for $1.49 vs $2.29. When I checked out the cashier asked if I had a Kroger card. I said no and she didn't offer to get me one. She rang up my order but it charged the full price. When I mentioned that it was on sale she told me I needed a Kroger card. I asked her if she had one I could use and she said no. It cost me almost $10 more. Nobody was at the Customer Service desk, but I found an employee to help me. She refunded the difference using a Kroger card at a register. The cashier could have done the same thing but I guess that was too much effort for her. I'm glad I moved away. read more

We go here every week. Everything we have gotten has been super fresh. We love using the Kroger app because you can get digital coupons. I also have coupons mailed to me that have been generated through the app. I save a lot of money by shopping here. The only thing I do not like is how small the aisles feel, and how slow the check out lines are during the weekends. But I understand that some businesses are hurting right now due to being understaffed. Still completely recommend. read more

Hard to review big stores like this, but I do shop here often, and they seem to have better meats and deli products than Wal-Mart. The store is usually always as expected; clean, organized, and friendly employees. read more

Be courteous and use phrases like "sorry to keep you waiting," "thanks for your order," "you're welcome" and "it's been a pleasure helping you." 5. Never argue with a customer. You know that the customer is not always right. But instead of focusing on what went wrong in a particular situation, concentrate on how to fix it. I went through the check out line with a girl card. I wanted $100 on the Gift card but didn't realize I only grabbed one to put $25 on. I said o shoot I don't want that one let me grab one I can do $100 on. I had additional groceries with me so I was unsure of that the exact total was. When my receipt printed the guy had accidentally forgot to take off the $25 gift card, so I was rang up for both. I only needed the $100 one so was told to go to the service desk. I done so, and the lady acted like I was crazy for wanting a refund for a gift card. I explained to her this was the cashiers fault and her exact words were "yea that may be so, but I can't refund gift cards. When management won't do it." This was 100% the cashiers fault, I understand mistakes happen and that's fine- but CAROLYN the customer service person was extremely rude about it. I said to her "you're telling me, the cashier made a mistake and your not gonna give me my $25 back?? Really"? Then she expected me to go find that exact gift card for her, which I had hurriedly put back. So she called the manager and he didn't even hesitate to give me my money. This lady needs to be more understanding of customer issues!! read more

This Kroger is pretty good as Kroger's go. Not the most up to date interior layout, but I can get most anything that I haven't already got from Costco. I do like their label "Private Selection" as I get many of those products and they do not disappoint. I pretty much get all my Pork Butts here for smoking on my Big Green Egg. The only reason I don't get them at Costco or Sam's is that they always come in a twin pack and they are huge. At Kroger, I like that they are vacuum sealed and dated well so I don't have to use them the first night or two. My wife & I also get our prescriptions here and earn generous fuel points for discounted gas! If you go here often make sure you sign up for a Kroger Card. read more

Better and cleaner than your average Kroger store. Usually well stocked and is much quicker since adding self check out lanes. Pharmacy staff a little rude sometimes but overall a decent place to shop and not deal with Walmart mess. read more

Great store to shop in. All areas were clean and well stocked. Kroger offers a variety of store brand items. I've sampled several and found them to be as good as name brands. I like that this store offers several Asian products. Their staff are courteous and helpful. You're greeted with a smile and "can I help you find something" The produce fellow offered to help me find a bakery item. He even went into the stock room to search for it since it wasn't available on the floor. This exemplifies great customer service. Kudos to management for enabling and encouraging their employees to provide good service. Congratulations to employees who embrace this ideal! read more

Kroger is one of three grocery shopping choices in Shelbyville and the more pricey of the three. If you can get in there when they have sales it's not so bad, however this particular store seems to have trouble keeping sale items stocked and don't always have the variety that other Krogers have. read more

This is a review of the kroger distribution center in shelbyville indiana Didn't know where else to put it. The public does not get to go in the dist center, just delivery drivers and truck drivers delivering food. I am/was in there on 2/16/16, and sat for 6 hours, so far. The porta potties they provide for truck drivers have NOT been cleaned or serviced for months. They are full, stinky, smelly and definitely a hazardous waste sight that has NO business in a facility that deals with food. There is no place to wash up, no place to even micro-wave a meal. (I bring my own meals, thank you) This facility has room for approx 50 to 70 trucks at one time, those on either side of me were here when I arrived, and are still waiting, like me to get unmoaded and leave. In the meantime, the porta potties are UNUSEABLE. and there are, as far as I can tell, NO other facilities for us to use. From what I can tell, the lumpers, guys that actually unload the trucks, have to use the same unsanitary potties as do the drivers. And they my friends are the ones that handle EVERY box of food that comes into this facility. I will not comment on the inside of the building. Having been to their facility in Atlanta Ga, that particular facility (another distribution center) is a pigpen. Period. That's all I need to say about the place. read more

This used to be one of the better Kroger's in the US. I travel 10,000 miles a month throughout the US and have family here in Indiana. This store has a new setup and it's awful! They used to have a specific organic section that was worth the drive in. Now organic products are hard to find throughout various sections, a real unorganized mess! read more

I've noticed that lately Kroger's has been making an effort to offer better customer service. I honestly have never had a bad experience there. They have always gone above and beyond. From the meat/seafood counter to the cashiers. There is one lady there who's even walked with me to show me where certain products were located. Meat/seafood has always been fresh. Every butcher who works there has always been very patient with my questions: from what time/temp do I cook this, to which fish do you recommend with x, y, z veggies. Every single piece of meat/seafood I've bought at the counter has been fresh and has tasted good. From the salmon to the T-bone steak. The only reason I am not giving this store 5 stars is the deli counter. Just 2 days ago I was standing at the counter waiting for service. She was cleaning the glass. She continued to do so after she saw me. then as she couldn't ignore me anymore as she was walking towards where I was standing, she said she's be right with me. So continued to clean the glass. No. you have a customer, you put down what you were doing, help them and resume your cleaning. Not an isolated incident. They are all very nice so I really shouldn't complain, but no sense of urgency at all. read more
