PLEASE READ BEFORE HIRING THIS COMPANY!!!!…read more On 6/28/2023 at 7:40 am I arrived home from work to J Bonin Tree Services LLC cutting down some of my neighbors trees, that's when I noticed the workers had their tolls laying on my lawn, I asked them nicely to please remove them and stay off the grass as the grass was only 3 weeks old, they removed the tools and I went on my way, shortly after his crew suffered a hydrolic line spill, unknown to me some of this fluid wound up on my newly planted grass, the crew never knocked on my door to inform me, while watering my lawn on 6/30/2023 I noticed the oil spill and burnt grass, I immediately contacted J Bonin Tree Services LLC, I began to speak with their secretary who was trying to explain to me they were not responsible because I signed a contract, I then explained to her I was the neighbor and yes they are responsible for the damage to my grass as they had no permissions from me. This is when a man jumped on the line addressing himself as Jack Bonin, owner of the Company, he then began to say and I quote " I will come over there and fuck up your plants and burn down your house" then proceeded to hang up on me. At this point I have contacted my local authorities Sturbridge, MA Police, an officer arrived took my statement and said he would speak with Mr. Bonin and what is it I want from this? I told the officer he could start with an apology and then we could discuss repairs. Mr. Bonin told authorities he had nothing to say to me and that I could bring him to court if he wanted me to pay, this is all over a 4'×5' section of grass his crew killed with their oil spill. So as it stands I will go to the court house on next available day 7/3/2023 and file said appropriate paperwork and also file a complaint to Mr. Bonin's threat to burn my house down, so if you don't want any problems with this company or your neighbors I would not hire this Company , ​

They put the level on every single stone and spent the extra time pounding and putting in supporting cement. There are rocks along the wall for draining, and then fabric and playground chips. Mark and our family have confidently working together for nearly 30 years with no complaints. He and his men had always been careful cutting trees for us and not leaving a trace once their work was finished. This last time that Mark came to take down a few trees, we noticed a significant difference in his men's workmanship. Upon arrival, I took Mark out onto my deck and specifically asked him to only cut a specific tree down to the height of the adjacent fence. He said he understood. Mark's crew were cutting limbs and letting them crash against our deck leaving indented marks and scuffs on 3 or 4 banisters that we had just had stained. Their carelessness eventually resulted in a full break of one section of our deck railing and spokes and apparently never told Mark. When he called to get paid, I asked him what he wanted to do about the broken portion of the deck and he didn't know what I was talking about. I think what disappointed me the most was Mark's neglect to follow through on my request to only cut the tree closest to the fence to the same height as the fence. I had plans for that one. When I pointed out that it had been cut to the ground, Mark said, "Well, now you can get creative". No apology!! At the end of the day, Mark should have at least apologized and/or offered to take some money off the quoted price for everything that I just I have described- as a gesture of good will. Our sprinkler servicing company closed during COVID, so we had New England Landscape and Design winterize our sprinklers in November 2021. According to my husband, he asked the owner if he needed to get into the house to access the water shut-off and was told no. Yesterday we opened the sprinkler lines to find an exterior pipe had burst in the winter due to improper winterization. According to the owner, my husband told him the water was shut off and he didn't need to come in the house. Classic case of two differing stories, but knowing we have always had someone come in the house to do this task, I know my husband wouldn't have said this. I emailed the owner a video of the broken pipe and he claimed several times my husband told him the inside was taken care of. He is unwilling to fix or even work with us to rectify this mistake. I was looking for a compromise and go nothing. Additionally, he brought up that he felt this was the "gutters all over again." I had forgotten about that, but his team was a week and a half late to clean our gutters. I inquired about them coming from my office one day and learned they were in the middle of cleaning our gutters when I inquired. I didn't know that because I wasn't home. My gutter inquiry must have unknowingly struck a nerve, because the owner reminded me of the gutters today when I was trying to work with him to come up with a resolution. Now I am stuck paying for a plumbing repair for his mistake. His customer service attitude is terrible, and he isn't taking responsibility to make things right. Beware. I am disappointed because we have always been pleased up until this point and have recommended this company to many others in town. But, his callous behavior today has changed our minds and we will be warning others about this company from here on out. Update: We have contacted three sprinkler companies since I filed this initial review to fix the broken valve and look into installing a backflow preventer. Each person stated that it is protocol and common knowledge for anyone to turn on outside faucets once they are done blowing out the line to ensure there is no water in the line. Had they done this we would not have had a broken valve because they would have realized the water wasn't turned off inside. Each person also told us backflow preventers are typically installed inside and indeed, we had our new sprinkler person verify and locate our backflow preventer, so NE Landscape inaccurately told us our system wasn't to code. They were correct that no one takes responsibility for their actions. A simple "Gee, your husband I misunderstood each other! What can we do to come up with a solution?" would have solved the problem when I first approached them with this. Instead, they refused to take any fault and continued to blame the customers over and over. Then they brought up something about the gutters that we had no recollection of. I recalled that they supposedly scheduled us for gutter cleaning on 11/1 and they came instead on 11/11. We didn't see the crew when I texted them and then apologized that they were there and we hadn't seen them. We were happy customers of theirs for years and are disappointed in their demeanor and business response. It's too bad, because we are about to install a huge retaining wall in the back and were going to have them do the job. Attitude is everything, and we are not pleased with their approach to this situation at all. Others in their industry have all said they made the mistake by not checking the faucets before they left last fall after blowing out the lines. We paid $200 for someone to fix their mistake and still, they are being unprofessional about the situation and taking zero responsibility.

They performed an absolute hack job which is very uneven. In addition, they damaged the aluminum siding & paint job on my house. I asked for them to provide a written contract when they arrived on the day the job was to be done. Well, they didn't. I had written one the night before, in the event that they didn't. I had Frider sign it. Good thing I did, because he tried to overcharge me, but to no avail! His ploy did not work. I will provide better pictures once the leaves grow in, so you can better see. STAY AWAY!!! Again you are not being truthful. The job was not done 4 months ago. You did the job last month. You can make all the excuses you want. Your work is terrible & that's putting it nicely. I will post more pictures & more info so people will think before they call you for anything. Also, invest in a pole pruner & use it. I stand corrected, it was 2 months ago, not one.
