Still hanging around after NBC limped away to San Jose. Three stars for tenacity and history, but the quality has really gone down since it went independent. The personalities are fleeing like crazy, and really, the only person who's left that I can consistently stand is Pam Moore. The round-the-clock news format didn't fare well because, if the cable news networks can barely stretch news programming for that long, it's more hopeless for local news. The station is pretty much a shell of its former greatness, but like I said, it earns points for sticking around. Something really oughta come around and restore it to greatness, though. A major network. A new affiliate for PBS. Something, anything. As it is, KRON feels like it's going through a sort of endless transition phase. read more

Not a fan of the Kron4 News team. But I am a fan of their website kron4.com. Ever check it out? Well I did and was surprised to find 1/2 priced spa and restaurant deals. I logged unto the website one day and discovered "Spa Spectacular" and "Kron4 Giftstore". You will not be disappointed. Right now, they have a "12 Days of Christmas" store that was added a while back. I just bought 2 Gift certificates to 111 Maiden Lane and it is good for a haircut. They have restaurants such as Crab Landing, Fior d' Italia, Izzy's Steak House, Ana Mandara, and Cake Expressions. Not all the businesses are good so beware of what you purchase. Well KRON seems to attract a core of crusty-eyed morphs armed with personal attacks and nasty reviews. Gary is cool, sports ain't everything; simple daily life is more vital, not the business of hyped up-sports teams/stars. Everybody loves a winner, well that is except Mark Sanchez at y'alls beloved Channel 2, he will throw a team under the bus one night, then host champagne with them the next night. Gary is consistently inconsistent, sort of like life herself. These people have a job, I rate them on that alone. But glaring stuff, like Sal's obvious discomfort with Dave, reeks of smug I'm-better-than-you'th, and disrespect. Did you ever wonder why 'local news' stations have been requiring their anchors to get up from their desks and stand in the middle of the studio? I thought KRON did it because they wanted to distract from the fact that they do little actual 'local' news (unless you consider a report about a woman finding a snake in her toilet in Florda "local" San Francisco news.) But switching channels, I've found that every local news program is doing it - both here in the Bay Area as well as in the cities I've visited in other parts of the country. Instead of hiring enough reporters to look into actual news, and investigate things that should be looked into, we get the snake in the toilet in Florida story and videos of similar 'local' news items from across the country. Here's the real news: San Franciscans are not interested in what's in toilets in Florida. We'd like to know things like who's looting the public treasury at City Hall and why our streets look like artillery ranges. We seldom even hear the names of our city supervisors, but we know when a dog gets its head stuck in a fence in Peoria. read more

Ordered gift certificates and one set was missing. Got all of the gift certificates at the same time except for one. Was charged on the credit card for the amount though. Contacted the Mr. Skow twice @ 415-561-8710 and no response. Contacted Neofill by email first and no response. Called again and got hung up on twice! When I finally got through they said that they have to wait for KRON to contact them and let them know how to proceed. That has been over a week ago and no word. I even scanned all of the gift certificates numbers that were sent to us and they said that they did not need it. REALLY! How do you know which one was not properly delivered. Hands down the best bay area news channel with regular every day people who are friendly, funny and not "fake" at all. My wife & I love this program and the best crew of any of the local news station programs. Not sure what some of the whiners who wrote scathing reviews on "KRON" are talking about. Gary Radnich is the best & wittiest sports talk person in the bay area & I listen to KNBR-68 AM daily to the Gary & Larry Kreuger Sports-Talk show - hilarious and no subject they won't make fun of as well as covering all bay area sports. Finally KRON's weather person Jacqueling Bennet is hands-down the prettiest woman period I've seen of any TV celebrity - bar none! read more

The only thing good about watching Kron is the weather and traffic, which I find it the most accurate of all news stations. I love Stanley Roberts and his segment on "People Behaving Badly". The delivery of news is alright---but has a bit of a tabloid feeling in it. Avoid watching Kron in the weekend mornings, there's nothing of news but infomercials and that Jan Wahl and her weird clothing that looks a bit like ancient New York in the 1960's. Gary Radnich-----he is funny, but at times obnoxious---and why on earth he's on-air in the mornings, especially that he's on the phone---wondering what he's doing while on-air--brushing his teeth? Anyways, besides weird and unprofessionalized news, the rest of Kron programming is nothing but garbage....My Network TV is a joke, except for that show "Who Smarter than 5th Grader?" The non-news, trashy programming (-2 stars), and weird and obnoxious news anchor personalities (-1 star). read more

I started watching KRON a couple of weeks ago. I kind of like the down-to-earth reporting, i.e., not fancy dressers or great orators. But after two weeks of Gary Radnich, I decided enough is enough! This review is based solely on the morning newscast. I used to flip-flop between KRON and KTVU in the mornings. A couple years ago, however, KRON started running these mini infomercials in the middle of the morning newscast. And the inexcusable thing is that they are made to look as if they are an official news segment. The reporter interviews a windows replacement service, a dating site, a lasix doctor, tax advisors, etc. as if it's real news coverage. So unprofessional and I can't stomach it, so I know longer watch. Which is sort of a shame because I'd rather have multiple sources for my news coverage. If anyone ever learns that KRON has discontinued these infomercials, please let me know so I can go back to watching its newscast. Also, BOYCOTT ALL OF THE COMPANIES THAT ARE THE SUBJECTS OF THESE INFOMERCIALS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know I would never hire any of these abusers of the news-reporting process. read more

She is beautiful and if, she has a breast augmentation then that is her business.
