Cue turning up with red dress and white sticky stain down it - it was cake - and asking if they could get it out. What? It wasn't me and it was cake. Honest. CAKE. They did, and still apologised that it wasn't quite clean enough, I think they had been looking at it with CSI equipment because I couldn't see a single mark but I'm loving their attention to detail for all cake-related stains. read more

The lady at the desk was terse and aggressive during our conversation and in the end I felt like they didn't want me to be there, despite my being aware of their specialist services so phoning ahead of time to check that they do simple casual-wear alterations. I dropped off my wedding dress for cleaning. We looked at the dress together and there were the normal wedding dress marks - mud and grass around the hem. When I went to collect it there was ink on the dress. The owner insisted that it couldn't have happened there, but how was it missed at the inspection on drop off? The ink was near the bottom of the skirt - so an unusual place to have a pen and I think I would have noticed. The best case scenario is that they didn't inspect the dress properly with me - which would still be down to them. They still charged me full price which was more than £150 for a dress. After visiting umpteen Dry Cleaners no - one would dry clean my daughters Bridal Shawl. This was because despite being purchased from a "designer" Bridal Shop it didn't have a care label in it and it had small smears of body make-up / fake tan at the edge of the lining. I searched on the internet for "Specialist Dry Cleaners in Bristol" and found this one. The service was excellent!!! It was clearly explained with no care label they couldn't be certain how to clean it - but with their experience they were willing to try and were reasonably confident they could get out the stains but could obviously give no absolute guarantee. The result was excellent - no trace of the stain and the cost only £8!! I couldn't fault the service and will take all my dry cleaning there (specialist or not) in the future.
