They get a star for being responsive and answering the phone, which some electricians simply don't do. Beyond that, they sent over what I guess was an apprentice and another guy who didn't say much. I called twice, including the day of asking if I needed to go out and buy a plug. They said no both times. They guys came over with no equipment despite me emailing a direct picture of what was needed, and unwilling to drive 3 minutes to lowes to get it. We got charged and they left. After an email complaint they offered to send them back to change a plug without another $250 fee. Since we planned on having them actually do the job, while they were out here we asked for another small job or two (including simply changing an outside floodlight). Here comes more diagnostic fees for their "expertise"... Overall there are more experienced places out there by far, and many that will charge far far less. If you are in a pinch and need to reach someone, "no job is too small" here....

We called about 5 times requesting to speak to someone and Cannondale just sent us a contract in the mail without ever returning our call. During the crazy storm in August of 2020, many people in our town couldn't reach Cannondale to fix their generators. We decided on A&J because of how communicative they were - they worked around the clock during that storm to help their customers. Since then, we've had nothing but positive experiences with A&J. Our generator is getting up there in age, so we had to have several service calls this year. We were able to immediately reach someone via phone and email. Each time they sent someone over quickly. One time, our generator stopped working overnight during a power outage. We called them at 5am and they had someone at our house by 7am. Soon after, they were able to replace the part and give our generator a bit more time as we navigate the process of obtaining a new generator. A&J educated us on the the changes in regulations, walked us through the many options out there, and helped us find a new spot for the generator without ruining the look of our property. They're taking care of all of the details, so the complex process is made completely effortless for us. Thus far, we're very happy with A&J.

Electrician they contracted with wound up messing up our houses electrical system (power was flickering on and off after they left). Messed up my $1400 worth of rebates with Kohler, promised to rectify and ghosted me. Owner refused to pitch in half of rebate from Kohler (per Kohler's proposal to rectify), so I was screwed out of a $700 extended warranty, and $700 cash back. Also has to call multiple times over the installation to get this completed (i.e: no shows, and lack of coordination with propane company). Their "fixing the lawn" after installation was basically sending a low-level person, who showed up, threw grass seed over the non-raked lawn (yes they didn't even pick up the rocks), and left within 15 mins (See photos)

He called ahead to let us know he was on his way and arrived on time. He installed one light fixture, one chandelier, and replaced one electric switch - all for a pretty nominal service charge. I put the appointment in my calendar and never got a confirmation by text or email, so I started trying to call them the day before and day of the appointment to confirm the time. I was left on hold for six minutes both times I called before being shunted to voice mail, and also used the online contact form. After close to two hours I get a call back saying that they had no record of the appointment and didn't have my information in their system (even though I had spoken with this same department two weeks earlier and wrote down the appointment time they gave me). This is NOT a company I would want to deal with to install or service a generator. I actually feel relieved that I dodged a bullet, but I wish I had believed the negative Yelp reviews I saw here and not wasted my time giving them a shot just because a couple of people who clearly had better experiences with them than I did recommended them on Reddit.
