I would give 4.5 stars if they do half star increments. I was accompanying a good friend at the time who was in a legal immigration pickle. Her brother hired Kuck | Baxter Immigration law firm to represent her at the Federal immigration court in Atlanta. From what I heard too, the Atlanta court district is the most notorious of all Federal immigration courts in the nation and my friend was facing William Cassidy, one of the most notorious anti-immigration judges there and in the nation too. The first lawyer to represent her was a Jorge Gavilanes. Judge Cassidy demonstrated a more questionable rather than professional conduct that probably he'd be held in contempt of court with that attitude if he wasn't the judge. Judge Cassidy was quick to shoot down everyone's request, including Mr. Gavilanes, at that hearing while sitting back and relaxed. My friend didn't even request asylum like everyone else; she was requesting to transfer her hearing from Atlanta to Houston since 20-30 hour bus trips between the cities were taking a toll on her back and she lives in Houston. However, at least Mr. Gavilanes managed to win my friend another hearing the next month. At the second hearing, Danielle Claffey legally represented my friend. As I observed in the courtroom, all other lawyers looked nervous or intimidated, but not Ms. Claffey. Judge Cassidy as usual was leaning back relaxed while quickly shooting down everyone's asylum request. However when it was my friend's turn, Ms. Claffey was the only lawyer where Judge Cassidy was leaning forward and having quite some debates. It was the first time I heard a little stutter in his voice and seeing his hands a bit shaky while handing or receiving documents. I thought it was a bit rude too when he rhetorically asked "Why transfer her to Houston? Why can't I try her here?" Of course, he still shot down their court transfer request. When Ms. Claffey, my friend, and I huddled afterwards for a recap, she said it sucks my friend may have to come back again from Houston via bus and me from DC for another hearing. She said in case Judge Cassidy shoots them down again in which she knows he will, she will appeal his a** to a higher Federal court like 1 or 2 levels below the SCOTUS. She said she's been dealing with that jerk for 11 years. After parting ways since then, I couldn't stop having so much respect for Ms. Claffey. Next thing we know few weeks later, my friend got the good news that her request to transfer having immigration hearings in Houston have been finally granted. My theory is that maybe given they know each other well as archrivals in the courtroom, he must've feared or got paranoid that his a** will get appealed if he dares to deny court transfer request again. I really have to tell you. If you need an immigration lawyer in Atlanta that money can buy and who is totally fearless standing up to one of the staunchest anti-immigration judges (even making him stutter or quiver a bit), look no further than to Danielle Claffey of the Kuck Baxter Immigration law firm. Beyond terrible. We literally had to search the internet for answers as the attorney assigned to the case had no clue what she was doing. Applications were not completed properly which resulted in endless RFE ( Request of Evidence) and additional costs for our company. Extremely unprofessional and inefficient. Thousands of dollars wasted with NO results. We had to switch lawyers in the middle of the process. Extremely disappointing and frustrating. read more

Terrible experience with Dustin Baxter and his assistant attorney Alejandro back in 2013. His assistant Would tell me I didn't have a chance at getting my work permit. I lost the first case sadly using them. I hired them again to try to do it over, big mistake. The first time they asked me to sign the paperwork was in the first week. The second time they didn't contact me for 3 weeks, so I went to his office with my mom, Apparently Alejandro was telling Dustin I was screaming at him and bothering him all the time which wasn't true. Dustin took the family that was in waiting room and moved them to his office. Then he brought some of my paperwork and threw it at me, he said " you want to keep bothering me? Find another lawyer." I was so upset and my mom was in shock. I told her let's just go. The paperwork I got for him that took me forever to get, he lost it. My Cousin recommended me his lawyer and I got my permit the first time around. I do not recommend this place. Yet he replies and says everything I wrote was untrue, my mom was a witness to everything that was said at your office that day and she saw our text messages. I tried to show you text messages that day, that i sent you and you not replying for 3 weeks but you wouldn't see them. We didn't speak for 3 weeks before me going to that office to get my money back. How you would disrespect someone in front of their mom like that is very eye opening. I would never want someone like you as a lawyer sir. The only one that was making a scene at your office was you, yelling at me and throwing my money order and paperwork at me and telling me to get out, my mom and i left without saying anything, Me arguing? Nice lie buddy and you also did lose most of the paperwork i had to run around to get, which you're lying about, I even called your office a week later to see if anything was left behind . I got to my appointment 20 min early. I waited and the "attorney" got there late. She barely looked at me, and 2 minutes into the consultation she said "ok I'm going to give you a retainer form. After you pay us I will review and see if we can help". I don't think I need to further explain why you shouldn't go with this people. You can not put something as important as a process with immigration with people that just care about themselves and your money. $150 wasted. read more

My son and my family are so disappointed with this Immigration firm- My son is detained and got this law firm from someone- His case is a complicated one- first the Immigration Judge terminated the proceedings and granted him bond- which he got, only for ICE to come and picked him up after 3 days out. So he asked me to seek out this Law firm- I went and spoke with Hiba Ghalib a partner at the Firm and she assures me, all will be okay- Most of the work was done by my son at the detainee center..he worked hard on his case and was able to file his own motions for the bond and he presented his self- even Hiba was very impressed that he got this far. And all they had to do is to take care of just the appeals (the bond and the termination appeals) First she told me verbally and written in pen that she was going to handle it all & I paid $2600. but later I'm going to find out that it was only the bond for that price and I thought the consultation fee was supposed to be deducted from that amount..it never did! Then 1 month or so and I never heard any thing and when I contacted Hiba, it looks like she was surprised that nothing had happened and they had gotten paid- she had appointed Jessica Colotl a Paralegal to handle the case, and she lied about filing the motion, then I was contacted by a Kole Bowman a legal Assistant, and then by Shirley Zambrano an Associate, which quickly throw something together. They just throw something together for the briefing and the Board Of Appeal sided with the Government- and now the case is heading back to the Judge. He is so disappointed and sadden by how this Law Firm handled his case- My family and myself are totally disappointed with how they handled the case- They did nothing, nothing at all for him and took my $2600. So be careful with this Law Firm and all the Associates, Paralegal, and Legal Assistant they have working on your case. ..unfair... read more

After driving an hour and half to my appointment and taking a day off from work I was told that I would either have to wait an hour and half to see Mr.Kuck or reschedule because I was paying in cash and they don't have change in the office. They should have told me before the time of my appointment I had to have exact change. The office staff was rude. I would not recommend this office. read more

The paralegal dealing with my case is very unprofessional. She made so many mistakes in my application and caused my at least 3 years: 1. She got the job requirement wrong, the job requires background check and was stated so in the ad, which they reviewed. But they didn't check the box in the form and caused my application to be rejected. 2. She got my priority date wrong and I caught that in their letter to the USCIS. 3. She was unaware of the visa bulletin publish timeline (Seriously??) I emailed the paralegal and let her know my priority date will be current next month. She actually pointed me to the current month's bulletin and told me I'm wrong. Don't they know the bulletin publish a month earlier??? 4. She kept asking for the same information over and over again. In of the mail I received, it listed not only the documents I sent them at least 4 times, but also the application fee, which by law is required to be paid by my company!! when I called the paralegal, her response is "oh, I guess that's true. I haven't ask them yet, let me check". They charged so much and simply didn't care. If you have to use their service, please make sure you are on top of every step, check every single form going out and prepare your own document according to USCIS website rather than their instructions. read more
