SAVE YOUR MONEY. I wish I would've paid closer attention to the reviews before hiring Caycie Dix Miller. I was informed about my 9:30 AM hearing at 9 PM the night before. Her office was completely unprepared, disorganized, and scrambling at the last minute. I was even asked to come into the office only 30 minutes before the hearing because they claimed they did not have my narrative -- despite the fact that I had already provided it. I was first told that Russell would be appearing on Casey's behalf due to a scheduling conflict, only to receive another call five minutes later saying Casey would actually be handling the hearing herself after all. The entire experience was chaotic and extremely unprofessional. Her paralegal Simone was also very unorganized throughout the process. I left the hearing feeling completely unsupported and poorly represented. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this firm to thoroughly research reviews before hiring them. read more

I would give this Law Firm a 0. Paid $12k and received nothing with an open and closed case. For example, ex-husband was facied 11 counts of domestic violence, family violence, three minor children are involved, was on conditions upon, and protective order was against him. Russell Taylor stated to the court when he should have got an emergency EX parte, stated to the Magistrate there were some domestic violence.I was builled until 2025. He's been reported to the ABA. He took out an additional $16,000 lien on the marital home and without my permission from Jun 22-2025. He was fired in October of 2022 for not serving the best interest of my family, in case, and not bringing to the attention to the court the fundamental issues and concerns at hand. Russell Taylor lied about his experience, and when I saw him in court with no evidence, no objections, no motions. The opposing party didn't even fill out a domestic relations financial affidavit, and should have been in contempt of court, but this law firm, Russell Taylor ended up working with the opposing party on October 6th, 2022.. At the consultation, Mike Birchmore earned all my confidence. I did not have any contact with him for six months, then at mediation all I heard was how we were limited by the law. I am physically disabled, and my ex has a terminal advanced degree, but according to Mr. Birchmore I was ineligible for alimony. Mike did not advise me. I was floundering alone during the mediation, as he was telling me that we needed to avoid going to court. I was fighting, and it was as if he didn't have basic communication skills. I could not understand anything he was saying to me, he just kept spouting colloquialisms, like, "I'll tell you what the judge would say," but he never actually gave me advice. I followed a recommendation to use this firm and I had read many positive reviews. This was a huge disappointment. read more

I got the impression that his paralegal was instructed to do the bare minimum. Russell Taylor's inexperience was so blatantly obvious during negotiations. He used bullying tactics to convince me to accept a lower child support amount than the amount set by the state. He was nervous about going in front of a judge because he was unprepared so he bullied me instead. After that experience, I fired him and this firm's true colors came out. They resorted to their standard business tactic of placing an attorney's lien on property rather than be open and honest about their billing tactics. I had to hire an atty sight unseen as I was taken to court by my ex-husband in GA. DO NOT use this firm for your family law needs. I asked to be contacted via telephone in cases where documents were not being exchanged & that was request was ignored. Therefore charging me more to compose an email. HELLO. As the months grew with no action, I stated on a number of occasions to my counsel the direction to take in the case to quickly resolve the scenario and everything in their power was done to avoid doing so early enough in the process until one day prior to appearing in court. All the tactics just to make more $$ on the case. Worst experience ever! Take my word for it, they don't have the client's best interest at heart-it's about how much $ can they soak you for. Lawyers already have to fight for a positive reputation and this firm sure doesn't help support their profession at all. read more

I was going through a divorce and needed some advice. From the very first meeting I felt comfortable, Stephen Powers was very friendly and straightforward. He didn't beat around the bush whatsoever. He told me that if I could negotiate everything with my ex that would be best,otherwise it'll cost a whole lot of unnecessary money. I really appreciated that. After meeting with a few other lawyers I decided to hire Mr Powers to represent me. We got off to a bit of a slow start, I'm going say bc it was around the holidays but it wasn't terrible. Stephen ' s normal paralegal was out of the office for a few days so he handed my case over to Sandra Power's which I later found out was his wife. Sandra was amazing throughout the entire process! She apologized for a slow start but ensured me that my case would be handled with great care. She was never lying! Sandra emailed me with constant updates, letting me know the status of my paperwork. She would call or email right away at all times if she needed anything. I felt as though I was their only client. Sandra has a great attention to detail and she is very meticulous. Needless to say, my divorce was finalized without us having to go to court and without me having to pay thousands of dollars. They handled my case with urgency and care. STAY AWAY. I can not speak for all the lawyers I hired a female attorney and her assistant which are not worth hiring unless you just want to give away money. It took 3500 hundred dollars to get an individual served. 125 to send a bill asking to replenish retainer. Even after I told them I no longer wanted their service I was told they have to file papers to discontinue working on my case. In the mean time I just got another bogus bill charging me for E mails telling them they were terminated. I filled out forms to go on Judge Judy Show and shed light on this case. Trust and believe I will be there already had call back. Furthermore they will not call you they wait until you call them so they can charge no feedback.
