Love this place in BGC. If you're looking for somewhere to get away from the High Street hustle and bustle, this is a great place to choose, as it's only about 2 blocks from the core of BGC. The set up or the restaurant is definitely a little awkward due to the way the space is shaped, but it doesn't stop the staff from providing excellent service. They were more than willing to answer any questions we had about the menu with honest and educated answers. I got the cold brew coffee and it was definitely strong enough to get me through my studies. It holds its own on the list of cold brew coffee from Manila's third wave coffee selection. My friend got the hot chocolate and enjoyed it as well. Great place to study or relax with friends. Also the kuppa concept is entirely local (the original is in Bacolod), so that's also a huge plus for me.
I first encountered Kuppa in Bacolod. It's our go-to family Christmas lunch place because it would be one of the only places open during a non-working holiday. I found out only recently that they opened a branch at the Fort! Yey! Ever the balletomane, the first item on the coffee menu that caught my eye was their Nutcracker Latte, a mix of espresso, hazelnut, macadamia, and chocolate. My favorite is their 12-hour cold brew. It's off the menu and not always available, but if it is and you're a caffeine-lover, try it out! Kuppa's primarily a coffee place, but they've got great meals, cakes, pastries, and desserts too. I love their salpicao, and their salmon isn't too bad either! They serve coffee, wine, tea, beer, and cocktails. There aren't many coffee places that can cook a mean steak, and Kuppa's one of them. In fact, you could spend your whole day at Kuppa, from breakfast to a nightcap!
I gauge cafés by their black coffee. I hardly drink fancy flavored coffee these days. A side trip after a meeting brought us to Kuppa, by chance more than by choice. So I got a black coffee and my friend got iced latte. Hers was very milky, it overpowered the coffee, but mine is straightforward and not bad at all. I liked their strawberry chiffon cake, it was not too sweet. The interiors were also nice. Given the many cafe choices though, I think it needs to create a more distinctive taste and look to make it memorable. I liked the coffee but it is not making me want to come back regularly.
Every time I need to get some work done and I need a conducive, quiet, and convenient place to go to, Kuppa is always on the top of my list! It's got everything I'm looking for, while still being in a practical location! It's also great for meetings or catching up with friends. I love their outdoor sitting (that they recently installed), it's super quiet and super refreshing. I can sit here for hours and I'm always so productive when I'm here. From getting reports and papers done to finally catching up on that book I've been stuck reading, Kuppa is my go-to place for that! They've got really good food (I love their chorizo pasta and their tapa!) and good coffee (that helps me sit here for hours!). They have a lot of different kinds of coffee, don't be shy asking the waiters for a good brew suggestion! I love how their waiters are also super nice, I've never had a bad experience here, service on point! The best part is they don't really kick you out, they like people here and it's a great environment for being productive!
Drop it low and pick it up just like this. Kuppa Ace, Kuppa Goose, Kuppa Cris! That's what always happens when I drive by the Commercenter Building in BGC. I kid you not! I really sing that line from Fancy. It's too catchy and I like them puns. One day, instead of the usual Chatime stop over, I decided to try Kuppa. After all, I keep seeing them on my newsfeed because there was a time where they would give out free cookies along with your Kuppa' coffee. A latte is only P95! The rustic-slash-industrial feel is one of the captivating things about trying this place out. It's also conducive for meetings. The aroma of the coffee inside will surely keep you awake for the rest of your stay there! It's not just a café, they serve European and American food as well. The items are varied as you can have breakfast, pizzas, soups, pasta, sandwiches, fish and steaks! Also, plus points for Kuppa for serving craft beer! I love their selection of ales like Rogue Dead Guy Ale (P245), White Ale Hitachino Nest (P295), Oaked Arrogant Bastard Ale (P255) and Big Eye IPA (P225)! The most expensive craft beer they have is La Fin du Monde (P1200). This Quebec-brewed craft beer is Tripel-styled with 9.00%! I still don't know how I feel about shelling out P1200 for a bottle of beer. Ohh, no wonder I sing fancy when I pass by Kuppa.
As far as I know, Kuppa's right up there with the first few stores of "third wave", independent coffee shops. And with good reason! It's a quaint restaurant that's a few blocks away from the main center of BGC (where Serendra and High Street are) so it never truly gets full. It's homey, warm interior and irregular design is fun, actually! And I'm not a big coffee fan, cause it really gives me bad acid-- on the plus side, Kuppa has great food! I love how it's a legitimate restaurant and not just a cafe lying on its laurels, serving normal coffee and substandard food. My favorite in Kuppa is their kimchi fried rice with spam! It's by far, the best kimchi I've ever had, because it's just the right balance, with that extra kick that leaves you reaching out for that perspiring glass of water. Of course, having a serving of that with a couple of slices of spam and a runny egg just hits the spot. Cool place for a weekend brunch while you're catching up with the amigas.

Once when I was overjoyed telling a story with my hand waving in the air, a waitress came by to ask if I needed something! I found that funny but I appreciated it anyway, when in some restaurants it takes ages for them to come to your table. My favorite drink would have to be the iced nutcracker which I am told has espresso milk macadamia hazel nut syrup chocolate sauce. The coffee is relatively affordable considering the bigger serving compared to other coffee shops. I trust them when they say "coffee is their blood type!" The minestrone soup is good and filling at any time of the day, so when you want a light dinner this is good! I am told the mushroom soup is as delicious. I got to taste some of the grilled cheese and salmon sandwiches which are tasty too.
Every time I come back to the Philippines, this is a staple tradition. I always come back here with family because of the memories and great food. The all you can eat salad bar is my absolute favorite here and the shareable pizza as well. The drinks are spot on and always refresh my tastebuds. If dessert is necessary, there is gelato or ice cream service. The waiting service and overall quality and taste of food is great :)
I can't recall how Kuppa Roastery & Café first came to my knowledge; I'm just glad that it did. This place is like a breath of fresh air from amongst the barrage of restaurants that seem to have sprouted up all throughout the Fort. Initially I came through for the dessert and I wasn't disappointed. I had a try of their chocolate cake as well as their cookies and I thought they weren't bad at all. Meal-wise, my favorite is their ham & cheese sandwich because it ain't no ordinary ham & cheese sandwich. Nope, far from it. The cheese is melted liquid form and it's drizzled heavily atop the ham-filled sandwich. Killer.

I ordered lasagna and cheese pizza for take out. I picked it up and the lasagna came ice cold. The cheese pizza had barely any marinara sauce on it. If you're looking for a good place for Italian food, this place might not be right for you. read more

I tried this place since it was recommended to me by a coffee conoisseur and le best friend. As a coffee place that focuses on the third wave coffee, I can't help but compare it to Coffee Empire. Maybe I picked some good coffee in the latter that I really so appreciate the nutty taste in the hand brewed Brazil Cerrado. But I'd say Kuppa is just as good as Coffee Empire. The place wasn't as grand as Coffee Empire but it's just apt for a coffee place. Oh they have this bell per table that you can ring when you need their service. I thought it was fancy. Haha. I didn't explore their bar/counter where the cakes were because they handed us the menu when we took our seats. I found it very accommodating. So I tried the V60 Ethiopian Yirgacheffe *high fives for the spelling!* which the barista said had a hint of red cherry in it. I couldn't distinguish that particular taste tho. But I loved the coffee! It was fine, smooth, and light and it looked kinda reddish black in light. So we ordered Wimpy's (open faced burger in gravy and cheese sauce) and it was a delight! Also had the Tiramisu which was super small but it was neat and just the right sweetness. Not fan of their frappes/cold drinks tho. We had the Mocha Java Drink and the Barista's Secret (which was like white chocolate). I found them very smooth. I prefer a rough-textured frappe and well, I haven't had a frappe in a month so maybe my judgment was not good. Anyway, hot coffee here is better. :) I think the prices for coffee was just right but I guess the other stuff in their menu was highly overpriced. I highly recommend this place if you're within the area. But maybe not, I don't want a bunch of people crowding up the place I want to go often (talk of hipster, haha). read more
One of my favorite places to study! I recommend the mini caramel pecan tart, granola and yogurt w/ fruit, and minestrone soup. And ALL of their lattes! ... Now If only they can somehow find a way to get rid of the Mosquitos that seem to find a way to my ankles every time I'm here.. read more

my favorite hangout place with my friends since we only see each other every weekends... i love their hot choco and ceasar salad btw, and their coffees are amazing too. food is great though serving proportions are quite small for its price, like the tapa breakfast meal my friends had earlier.. my friend joked around saying is this for a kids meal? come on, almost Php300 for like half a cup of garlic rice, few pieces of tapa and a fried egg. the taste is good undoubtedly but at least serve a bit more on the portions of the food. in spite of that, it's their coffee that makes them stands out from the rest of the coffee shops sprouting around the BGC area.. undeniably one of the best tasting coffee i've ever had. the staffs are friendly and place, I love it. cant wait to come back again next weekend. read more
