Kure is a dumpster fire. They changed their HIPPA form in Aug 2018, shortly after purchasing Smart Pain Management. With the change in the form, Kure can sell your medical record for the purpose of "research"- it doesn't even specify medical research, just "research!" And they keep your name and social security number on your file when they sell it! Basically, Kure can sell your electronic medical record to ANYONE under the guise of "research" and if you sign their HIPPA agreement, there is nothing you can do about it! Kure is WAY too profit-oriented! My doctor is now only supposed to spend no more than 5 minutes with me and 5 minutes filling out the electronic medical record. It's insane! This is the rapid road to becoming a Pill Mill! I now get texts, emails and phone calls reminding me about the co-payment. I do not like Kure at all, but my doctor is good. I just have to decide if putting up with Kure is worth going to the doctor in what amounts to a dumpster fire. Here is a tip: refuse to sign Kure's HIPPA form. Request a form without that provision in it instead. read more

I fully understand that pain management is hit and miss so I'm not really going to address the fact that my pain wasn't helped by them. What bothers me is their policy of charging a co-pay even for follow-up appointments PLUS an additional surgical co-pay for procedures. And when they do procedures and they don't work, you get charged an ADDITIONAL surgical co-pay each time you have to have a procedure done. So I've racked up over $100 in out of pocket expenses in a month's time with no relief. Another peeve was when I said that I've experienced no relief with the injections, the guy was very brusque and quickly left the room telling me on his way out, "Well injections are what we do here. Call back if there's something we can do for you." To their credit they don't prescribe heavy-duty pain medications. So if you're a drug seeker, don't bother going to this practice. read more

Almost a thousand dollars in the red , 6 visits, 2 steroid shot procedures , and many missed work days later , sadly i am in worse pain. But now you can add despair and debt . Heres their scam : Every visit they will up your mg,s of trash medicines even if they don't work and have bad side effects. I wont name doctors names because i saw a few and their all in on it. This review will cost them far more then what they scammed out of me and my insurance company. Believe it ! Lastly , this bad medicine , pill factory is part of the OD crisis and the abuse climate. People are dying because they are taking to much of the bad weak trash pills trying to kill the pain . Meanwhile , good pain medicine is going to god knows who . I never got any and you wont either if you go here. What will happen is , you will get taken advantage of , lied to , and financially bullied. Just be careful not to not receive liver/kidney damage from the cocktail of class T ( trash) pills they will prescribe , while they avoid the class A medicine thats proven to work read more

This place is all about taking your money and sending you out the door still in pain. I have had 4 doctors at this office and the 2 that were any good left. I have been in pain for a long time and every time you ask for help they want to keep giving you shots in your back. Over and over. Im in more pain now then ever. But if i try to ask for something stronger they do nothing. I have been on the same meds for 5 years with no change. What a joke. read more

KureSmart - Worst Experience of My Life 5/23/2019 I arrived for my scheduled appointment at 1:55PM, early for my 2:30PM appointment. I was scheduled to see Dr Gurman from my previous appointment. I have been on pain medication since 2009, I have followed all regulations and take my medication as prescribed. From the beginning of the appointment until I was removed from the office, Dr Gurman was not acting in a professional manner, he dismissed my objection to lowering my dosage of medication as it has remained consistent for 5 years. He than stated he was "uncomfortable" with my care plan and treating me, to this I asked for another doctor to step in as I don't have unlimited time to reschedule or come back. Full time work and already using personal time for the appointment, I intended to have answers then and there, but there was no professionalism. I thought Doctors were supposed to take the patients care in the upmost regard, I found out today from this experience it isn't the case. I fear more surgery as it didn't help me in the past, and I am content with my pain management, but they for whatever circumstance do not want to keep me at my current regime which is 30mg / day of Oxycodone. At this level I am able to function enough to do things and enjoy life, but he wouldn't listen to me, and it appeared he already per-determined the outcome of today's visit. He was rude, short, dismissive, and nothing less than being an asshole to which I was inclined to call him. I was completely flustered and just didn't understand how anyone in a professional setting could act in the manner he was. I had a previous appointment with him, and I registered a complaint because of how he acted then, so when I found it was him again, when he walked in the room, I was just floored they would schedule me with him. This was clearly retaliation as far as I'm concerned! The staff I approached out of the office including Dr Jari refused to hear anything I had to say and immediately sided with Dr Gurman as if they were all on a team with no humanity or ability to have a rational conversation. I was removed from the office and they called the police because I used a foul word when asking him why he was acting like an asshole, I was intimidated by the police and threatened to be arrested and locked up while I was waiting for my lawyer to answer the phone in the parking lot. I've been so stressed out by this occurrence and I didn't receive my prescription and will now suffer withdrawals because this Doctor refused to listen to a patient and look at my records for the consistency in my treatment. You cannot force people into surgery or injections by lowering their pain medications, and that is precisely what he was doing. I felt it was so wrong and had openly disagreed with his course of action, and I will never forget this experience. He acted in a manner unbecoming of any doctor I've seen to date, and I will be working with my lawyer on filing complaints with the medical board for my state. I will tell everyone I know about this poor experience, and make recommendations for other pain management clinics where they listen to the patient and advise on treatment/care options. read more

Dr. Foo and Sara are both great. They always listen to me and they explain what they are doing so i can understand. The staff is also very nice and helpful. They are always smiling when i go in the office, and the office manager is very helpful. Even tho the office is busy, i never feel rushed while i am there. read more

Was scheduled for weeks, the day before my injections was told they didn't get authorization. Called my insurance and they said i was authorized. After some argueing, got my appointment back. Was scheduled for the second half of the injections 2 weeks later, again the day before was told it wasn't authorized. Told them we checked with the insurance the night before and we were authorized. Then we were told Dr. Foo would not do the 2nd half of the injections without a 2nd consultation. What bull sh... The staff is rude and the place is only after insurance money. Stay away. read more

If you have any alternatives to visiting this clinic...take them. I went to Kure Pain Management at the referral of another doctor. I should have know that this would not be a good experience when the wait time on the phone was excessively lengthy. Unfortunately, things went down hill from there. The day of the initial exam and the procedure went reasonably well, and Dr. Kamran Saraf (involved MD) was attentive and well informed. Problems began, however, when I developed complications as a result of the procedure. At this point Kure and Dr. Saraf were VERY much hands off and impossible to reach. I ultimately ended up in the emergency room and being treated by other MDs. While everything turned out well for me because of other responsive health care professionals, I would NOT put Kure Pain Management in this category. This is a clinic whose business model is based on moving volumes of people through the office. They do not want things to "go wrong" and, when they do, are not responsive or attentive to patient needs. They are most definitely off my list of health care providers and I suggest that you look to other alternatives as well. read more

This is one of the most unprofessional front office staff I've ever dealt with. I am generally very polite and nice when I call for appointments, questions, etc. This particular office often never returns calls and I just had an awful conversation with Chiara (sp?). I was just asking a question and instead of letting me finish, she cut me off rudely and said, "I don't even know what you're talking about." Okay - how about you let me finish what I was saying? While Dr. Foo seemed like a fine doctor, I can't deal with the front office staff. I've requested another referral for a different office. read more

Dr. Foo and his staff are absolutely wonderful. He has exemplary bedside manner, taking his time to ensure all questions are answered and the patient's needs sufficiently met. I've spent over a year searching for someone who'll actually help; with his guidance I am finding relief. read more

I was in a car accident just about a month ago. The accident was not my fault and it totaled my brand new SUV. I was referred to Kure by MPCP in Glen Burnie because the accident caused extreme back pain and my thumb is seriously injured, but of course I don't know how because all these doctors want MY personal medical insurance to bill and I have Medicaid and most places wouldn't even accept me! So I see Dr. Saraf last Thurs. and he said to fax or drop off information he needed and I could get my RX Friday morning. So I go in Friday morning and nothing. Not even in my file! Neither RX was written until today. It has taken three trips and at least 5 phone calls. I've never needed pain medication before really like this so when I go to get it filled my Medicaid won't pay and it's like $600 minimum!!! So I took the form back to them and they REFUSED to call in my prior auth even tho there were several other doctors staffed. They STILL didn't attempt to help me knowing how much pain I'm in. And I was unemployed six mo and just started a new job in owings mills that I could easily lose because of me not being able to drive there in this pain. Dr. Saraf barely even looked me in my eyes. TAYLOR IS THE WORST, most unprofessional RUDE receptionist I've met in my entire life. If she spent more time caring about patients that are in severe pain and less time on her ratchet eyeliner she might be able to be presentable. All around terrible experience. I'm filing a complaint with the Board and reporting this to my lawyer as well. DO NOT TRUST THEM! They treat everyone like we are some kind of addict!!! Shameful! read more

I'd give this Practice NO stars if I could. It is as useless as a screen doors on a submarine ! I have never been treated so badly by ANY doctor in my life as I was by Dr. Doris Cope last month. I have been a Registered Nurse for more than 30 years and have come in contact with many doctors but none compare to this doctor Cope who after telling me she reviewed my chart, began to harangue me about a flag she found on my chart. I told her that was post op and my husband filled my prescription and I didn't even remember it but that was insufficient. After just one visit with her I was labeled as having drug seeking behavior. Nothing I said after that mattered to her. She had "caught" me. I have been going there for 10 years for pain management and was doing very well until 2 months ago when I walked in and didn't recognize anyone! No one I knew was there. I was told my regular doctor, Dr. Davies was now in administration. I wonder why? Something must have happened in order for them to have a complete turnover in doctors, nurse practitioners and front desk staff. If you have pain I strongly suggest you seek help elsewhere. read more

I don't think I have ever been treated more poorly in my life. I can only speak for the Doctor that I was seen by and not the practice - but I would say beware. I went to the Annapolis office and ended up walking out. read more
