Needless to say, we were worried, we had been with old primary for the better part of 25 years so picking a new doctor was not something we wanted to do and we were looking for any excuse not to choose a doctor. After asking the opinions of my friends and family, I did some on line investigating of my own and to be honest these reviews almost kept me from picking this office but I went ahead and went anyway. I had my first ever ear infection and needed to be seen by someone/anyone really that could help me fix whatever was happening and take the pain out of my ear. Thankfully I went ahead and went in that day (late September) and I have to say, my entire experience was wonderful. As you know, completing the new patient forms is like writing a short story but I have NEVER walked into a new doctor's office and been told, "no worries we have all of your paperwork on file, if you wouldn't mind please just wait over in the waiting room for your name to be called", what?? I didn't know what to say, I had sent that paperwork in 12 months prior to my first visit and they had it all and it was entered and I just needed to take a seat and wait to be seen?? So I thought, ok, here's where they'll fail, I'll sit out here for 20 minutes and then in the back for 20 minutes, etc. well, I couldn't even get candy crush opened up on my phone before they called my name, I weighed in and went straight back to the room, I spoke with the nurse, she wrote down my concerns, took my bp, pulse, all the good studff and left the room with the "someone will be in shortly speech". Much to my surprise, immediately behind her came in my NP, Melissa, who I absolutely love!! There was no rushing with the her, she was fully engaged in everything I asked, she explained every question I had in detail, she took the time to explain the prescriptions she was putting me on. Everything! I was so surprised and cannot tell you enough about how wonderful she is!! In addition to Melissa, I cannot even tell you how pleased I've been with the girls at the front desk, they are wonderful, each and everyone I've spoken to or dealt with have been extremely helpful, Shea, Hailey, Terri, Emily each one has proven to be a wonderful resource to that office and can get any answer I may need or help me with any request I have without any issue. Bottom line, if you need a new doctor or office, you should have no fear of picking this office, you will not be disappointed! It's hard to find a group like this that runs such a well oiled machine but I think we've found it and for that we are grateful!! Thanks everyone!!

One appointment years ago when I didn't have any health insurance, Dr. Padgett gave me all medication, free. When I started seeing Dr. Green, I noticed that his diagnosis was disconnected and inaccurate in most cases. Whenever possible, of course he issued a referral. He had prescribed medication for high cholesterol which I did not have. Dr. Green basically laughed at me when I explained the sciatic issue I was experiencing and then threw a referral card onto the examining table. The drastic change in demeanor and professionalism seemed to get worse over time. Dr. Gene Green (or office) were also terrible at completing necessary insurance documentation. It usually makes sense to have medical records forwarded to new doctor, but not in this case. Myself (and new Doctor) have no use for inaccurate, incompetent medical information. Dr…read more Tang denied her of routine blood tests that we wanted for our own knowledge as we have with our previous doctors. We insisted to have it drawn and was still denied. As patients, we have the right to know what the results of our blood tests are as part of an annual check up covered under insurance, even if the doctor recommends otherwise. I can't think of a reason why an internist would deny a standard blood test at an annual check-up other than being absolutely lazy. Checking blood work every 5-10 years leaves opportunities to miss early detection for a variety of diseases that can be seen before actual symptoms occur, and Dr. Tang robbed my wife of that. Find yourself a doctor who will actually take their job seriously.

JHH Medicare advantage Is buying names and street addresses from a marketing company to send out Via USPS junk mailings for medicare advantage advertisements. When you call the phone number in the junk mailings of 833-..etc....... a Dial America employees answer. Dial America was hired and paid by JHH Medicare Advantage to try and coax consumers to sign up for this program. JHH med Advantage program has been sending me USPS mailings for me for years. With someone elses name on my street address. I am the only one living in this home ever. I have opted out thru Dial AMerica and thru elaine dorsey and douglas hill. They all have put me on a 1 year or 3 year computer supressed system. Out of concern for someone elses name being associated with my street address I called the county tax records to see if this name was an error there. it wasnt. Everytime you call JHH medicare adv program they all say we can opt you out. Take all your inofrmation and never opt you out. This is dishonesty by JHH. I need the marketing company that JHH medicare adv program is buying street address and names from. I would call the marketing company to clear up the inaccurate name and get myself deleted from the marketing company. So JHH could not buy my address anymore. Let me be clear that Dr. Ochaney wasn't really the problem -- although his bedside manner was lacking. The issue was his staff. After twice explaining my symptoms and trying to get an appointment, I was repeatedly directed to the ER. The second time, his staff suggested my symptoms were life-threatening and I felt obligated to go to the ER. That visit alone cost me more than $1,000 -- despite my request to simply move my appointment up sooner. Again, this is effectively a customer service issue and not necessarily a problem with Dr. Ochaney. Nevertheless, I'd recommend you skip this doctor and find someone in Columbia or Annapolis if possible.

From the folks you talked to when you called to place an appointment, to the front desk staff when you arrive, everybody is very friendly, helpful, but also professional. Dr. Martin's support staff is also great. When you're getting your vitals taken, you're never treated like they are in a rush and they also always make sure to answer any questions you may have. Dr. Martin is amazing. She is incredibly knowledgeable and thorough, but takes a whole body approach. She asks a lot of questions and gives you time to share any of your concerns with her. Neither of us have ever felt rushed when we were. The office is very spacious with a large waiting area and very well-maintained. If you need lab work done, they even have a lab downstairs in the same building; so it's very convenient. If you're looking to switch primary care providers, I cannot say enough great things about this practice.

Johns Hopkins apparently doesn't have a late policy at all locations... From a quick web search: Johns Hopkins has different late policies by department, but generally, being more than 10-15 minutes late may result in rescheduling or being placed on a waitlist for later availability, so it is crucial to call the specific clinic ahead of time. Some locations also apply a grace period, while others consider lateness a no-show, potentially leading to a fee or even discharge from the practice for repeat offenses. Not good customer service. I think I'll find a new doctor and new location.

His manner is calm, competent, and thorough. Subsequent visits have been the same: the waiting room might have many patients, but when it's my turn to be in the office, I feel like I have the time I need to talk to him about my concerns. I have never felt rushed in my appointments, and because I am not feeling pressured about time, I am better able to express my concerns and have a productive, efficient visit. I don't get rushed out of the office thinking, "Shoot, I meant to ask about this..." By the way, you might get his answering machine sometimes when you call the office to make an appt., but they always return my calls very quickly -- last time they called me back within about 15 minutes.

In the three separate times I've visited to get my labs drawn, the woman working at that desk always seems annoyed with each person who approaches her. In my case, and what I believe is the standard case of each patient, we are told to go directly to the waiting room and wait for your name to be called since the labs are already in the system. On this occasion, two people did not follow those directions. The woman at the desk made a comment after the second person "ITS ALREADY STARTING". Unnecessary and rude. I approached her after she called my name and told her good morning, met with no response. I can speak for myself when I say, blood draws give me anxiety and I don't like them. Would it be so difficult to respond to the patient with a good morning? I expect so much more from Mercy, their Drs and nurses are phenomenal. They need to do better with their employees who work in the lab room..
