The best summer camp out there, especially for sports. There have always been a few constants -- the sports facilities are great, the coaching is first class, the counselors are well-trained, etc -- but the place has an extra shine to it with all the renovations that Mike and Hillary have done since they took over. The bunks look brand new, the place is super clean, and (I really never thought I'd say this) the food is kind of incredible. I really can't compliment the new management team enough -- they've done an amazing job, the place looks great, and the kids had a fantastic summer. read more

Wonderful staff ,clean well run camp. Always something happening. Lake activities r awsome. The kids love it. 4 years of them going. Next year's a given. My friends kids attend the day camp. A total NIGHTMARE!!! And so unprofessional!!! Our child was enrolled at KSA for two weeks, the first time away from home. However, due to bullying that was experienced (physical and verbal), we decided to pick up our child instead. We are now trying to get our money back. When we enrolled, we paid two deposits for two different sessions. The first deposit more than covers the one week that our child was at camp. However, a full refund was requested due to the lack of supervision. KSA did not provide us with the service of "supervision" and a safe and positive environment as promised, therefore we requested a pro-rated payment for the one week that our child was at KSA, which we found reasonable. Additionally, we have not yet received our second deposit refund for another session that we previously enrolled in (as the owner promised verbally and in writing), but instead, KSA charged our credit card an additional $3,400. To make matters worse, our child's friend, who had planned to attend camp if our child attended this second session, is also waiting for their deposit refund, which the owner promised to refund, should our child not attend. They have made several calls to KSA and each time told that "the owner was out and a check would be mailed out". We have been OVERCHARGED a total of $3,900.00 and have not even received the courtesy of a return call or email. Our child's friend has been waiting for almost 4 months for their refund of $500.00 and haven't received a return call or any response. This was certainly not the kind of "first time" camp experience our child, or we, should have experienced! We hope that others BEWARE! read more

KSA gets my vote! I spent 10 summers there and they were the best. The facilities, amenities and coaches were all top of the line. As a well thought of high school catcher KSA allowed me to continue my practice without having to stay home all summer. Getting the chance to work with former pros no doubt helped me. I still sing good day sunshine every time it stops raining and when my daughter is ready KSA will be where. read more

HIGHLY RECOMMEND! All three of my siblings bounced from summer camp to summer camp because they never seemed to find the right fit. That's not the case with Kutshers. My parents dropped me off when I was 8, and although I cried when they left, within an hour I realized this place was special. I never wanted to go home. I highly recommend KSA. My summers at Kutshers were some of the best time of my life. The professional coaches and beautiful facilities significantly contributed to my ability to become a college athlete. The friendships will last a lifetime and I'm using connections I met a camp today in my professional life. Each of my siblings had similar experiences at KSA and we could not be more proud to be a part of the Kutshers family for life. I was very nervous sending away my 8 year old (very sporty!) daughter for the first time alone. But I had a very good feeling after I met Mike and Hillary Gilberg and knew she would be in good hands. I'm so glad I went with my gut feeling!! Not only did she get incredible sports instruction, especially from the amazing basketball coach, Coach James, but she had the time of her life and called me after 2 weeks to beg I extend her stay for 6 weeks. The counselors were fantastic and fun, Hillary goes out of her way to look out for the little ones at the camp, and there is a general overall culture of kindness and inclusivity around Kutsher's. The older kids cheer on the little ones, the counselors make sure all the kids are getting what they need, and the sports staff gives a challenging but fun full day of activities, every day. The staff are extremely approachable and go out of their way to make sure each kid is having fun with their individualized program. Basketball, softball, tennis, lacrosse, track, swimming, fishing, crafts, six flags trip (twice!!), Olympics, canteen...just some of the highlights my daughter is still talking about. Plus the new friends she made from all different places that she will stay in touch with throughout the year. Thank you Hillary and Mike Gilberg and the entire Kutsher's family for giving Addy the summer of her life. She will be back year after year!! read more

My son has been attending this camp for two years and absolutely loves it! The staff are professional, knowledgeable and most importantly they LOVE working with kids. The accomodation is clean and suitable for summer camp, and the food is wonderful. See you in the summer! read more

My son has attended KSA for the last 3 summers and is going back again this summer. He looks forward to it all year. We have gotten to know the coaches and employees and they are great people. He has also met lifelong friends there. I would says it's perfect for kids who love sports and have the maturity to be independent and get along with others. My sons plays basketball from about 7 am and does various sports (weightlifting, tennis, volleyball more basketball) until late at night. He would go until he was 25 if he could! read more

I attended KSA every summer from 1999-2005. My experiences there were truly formative--from the relationships with campers and counselors that continue to this day to the development of athletic skills that helped me build confidence and thrive as a varsity athlete in high school and club sports captain in college. KSA's managers, Hilary and Mike, were at camp during each of those summers (and well beyond) and are sure to bring the culture of friendly competition and meaningful relationships to youngsters for many years to come. read more

This camp has truly made me the person who I am today. The counselors, administrators, and campers have shaped me to become a more independent and responsible person. When you go to Kutshers Sports Academy (KSA), you make memories that will stay with you for your entire life and friendships that never end. LOVE!!! KSA is my second home! I went to Kutshers from age 6 to 21. From the extraordinary coaches and counselors who are experts at their sports, to the wonderful campers that make camp what it is, there is no other place like KSA. The staff is caring, kind, and super attentive. They will help your child with anything they need to make them feel comfortable and enjoy their time at camp. The basketball coaches are some of the best in the world- most play (or have played) professionally overseas. The soccer program is fantastic and there is no better place to become a top-notch tennis player. Aside from the wide array of sports, the fun camp activities including color war, camp fires and trips to the bowling ally make camp the perfect place to be over the summer. After attending a few camp and not really feeling that magical spark / connection we were introduced to Kutsher's Sports Academy. I am glad to say that we have now found that connection and that summer family that was missing with the other camp experiences. Mike & Hillary, the new directors, are fantastic and very receptive to our needs. They are focused on creating an environment centered on growing and nurturing each individual camper. BEWARE OF BEDBUGS - a month ago there were bedbugs at camp kutscher - they had them last summer and still had them in May 2016 - if you are sending your child to this camp, please be careful - it was an absolute nightmare - dead and live bugs found in multiple cabins in camp so they are throughout the buildings - we were bitten and had to take lots of precautionary steps to not bring them into our own homes - read more

My two boys (ages 11 and 12) went to away to camp for the first time this summer. They absolutely loved KSA! They have only been home for a week and can't stop talking about going back next summer. Both of my boys are into sports and this camp was a natural fit. They played some of their favorites but also learned a new sport, tennis! They made some great friends as well. I never expected them to be so sad about coming home when camp ended. I also loved that they had a month unplugged from electronics. The camp facilities look great. It was easy to email and call the kids while they were away too. We're all looking forward to next summer.
