TLDR is as follows: around 18 years ago I purchased a Victorinox suitcase with a lifetime warranty. I subsequently misplaced the purchase confirmation, warranty docs, and forgot all about the warranty. Fast forward to 2026, when I showed up to have the suitcase repaired (despite heavy use, it was still in an overall excellent condition). To my surprise, Victorinox honored the warranty, even though they could have easily reneged on it (because I had literally zero proof and recollection of it). What's more they offered to replace the suitcase for free and helped me choose from a number of great alternatives. Communication was exemplary, service friendly and professional, and the replacement arrived in no time at all (I asked for a color they didn't have in stock, which they promptly ordered for me, and which arrived in half the advised time). So... My uncle used to quip that we are too poor to buy cheap things, and I think this story confirms that the value offered by Victorinox is second to none. Which is why I'll never buy any other brand going forward. Thank you again (also for restoring my faith in humanity ;-))!

After trying on different charms and chains I decided on one and paid for it. I put on the necklace before leaving the shop but discovered that the chain was too long and asked if I could exchange it for a shorter one. The sales assistant said that it was not possible and I should have thought of this before I made my purchase. I've never heard of such a stupid, rigid policy. The whole experience was very disappointing. Bad customer service, unfriendly staff (who were constantly watching me and made me feel like a thief). Not recommended.
