I was pulling a fifth wheel camper so my fueling options are limited. They locked the doors and turned off the pumps. It might be company policy, but policies need to change. I had 50 miles of range remaining because the last 2 stations I stopped at were doing the same thing. All we needed was fuel so we could stay out in front of the storm front and evade the hail and high winds. We chanced it and drove on. Lucky to make it to a different fuel stop that didn't turn the pumps off. Kwik Star, do better. Don't strand people and lock them outside during a tornado.

Don't use this car wash!…read more Just bought a brand new car in April 2011. Got back to town, didn't know where to go to get my car washed so I saw this place and pulled in. The car wash is on the West side of JFK Rd. I entered the 1st of the larger sets of wash bays - the one closest to JFK Rd. They are automated unattended car wash bays. Everything seemed fine until I parked and saw the top of my car. The heater/blower that rides on top of your car that dries it off at the end dug up my new paint! You pay cheap, you get cheap and you get your car scraped up with cheap shitty unmaintained equipment. Best place to go in town to get a decent wash: Miracle Car Wash I go to the larger one on: 2090 Holliday Dr Dubuque, IA 52002 (563) 557-7822 But the Original Miracle Car Wash downtown has great reviews too.

I recently revisited after about 10 years and the invention of Yelp and not much has changed. Prices are still super cheap, the cashiers are still crusty old townies, and if you've got something that says you're 21 that even slightly resembles you I'd imagine it'd be pretty easy purchase anything a college sophomore could desire.

My son left behind his communication device (he's autistic). An employee took it upon herself to…read morekeep it (it works through an ipad). Turned off the locator and everything, ignored the contact info, ignored the apps that said AUTISM right on them. Luckily I had it uploading stuff in the background and was able to track her down. Called corporate, because it sounded like the store was complicit in 'lost' items going missing. In fact, the store told me, "We never get expensive items in the lost and found". Of course not -- your employees don't put them there, they take them home! You really want to tell me NO ONE EVER LOST A PHONE OR MP3 PLAYER OR ANYTHING? I don't believe it. Store manager sent me a casual letter saying she had been spoken to, and gave me a whopping $25 gift card. Sure I got the device back (damaged), but he was without it for a month. $25 and a talking-to? Seriously? Worse, not once in the letter did it say, "I am sorry. She is sorry. We are sorry. We apologize." Nothing like that at all. No one is sorry, not one bit. Now, my son is on a lot of medication, and I am on a bit too (asthma). With a family of five, we have well over $1000 a month in medications there. How could I possibly fill my prescriptions there in a place that condones robbing from customers? I really don't feel like counting pills every time I get something filled. I'll go elsewhere. The pharmacy department was really nice and helpful, but at the end of the day, it's managed by someone who admitted he knew the thief for 11 years, so as you can imagine, she could do no wrong. EVEN THOUGH SHE ADMITTED TO THE POLICE SHE HAD IT (and turned it in to them, I have the police report). Way to go Walgreens. Not even an apology. $25 to somehow feel better. $25 is actually more insulting than nothing.
