Checked the thermostat batteries, checked the pilot light, no gas. Called in furnace man, on a Sunday a man who has been in the business for over 30 years and works for MN HVAC. He worked on the furnace for hours. He phone conferenced with another HVAC man with over 30 years of HVAC experience. Ran around and found parts on a Sunday. Ran around and found space heaters on a Sunday night. Still no fix. Called Lakes Gas on Monday morning and they said the tank monitor had failed and the tank was empty. They sent out a guy to fill the tank but did not fix the monitor. I spoke with Lakes Gas to inform them that they would be paying the bills for labor and parts amounting to $600 since they admitted their tank monitor had failed. They said they would not pay for that since the two HVAC men with over 60 years of professional experience did not know what they were doing and that clearly all that had to be done was fix their tank monitor. I sent them the bills for labor and parts amounting to $600. I received a letter back stating the same thing that had been discussed on the phone, that their tank monitor had failed and they would not pay the bills since the professional HVAC guys didn't know what they were doing. Fast forward months to spring, the same genius shows up and I ask what he was doing and he said the tank monitor needed to be replaced because it was broken. HELLO! Great idea, let's wait months until spring to fix it. I told him not to bother as I would no longer be a customer of Lakes Gas and I would also tell everyone I could about the horrible customer service that I received. Lakes Gas could have been paying for frozen pipes and one heck of a mess had I not gone to the cabin that particular weekend. Yet, I never received a thank you for catching their failing equipment in time. Lakes Gas, THANK YOU for turning me on to Como Gas, their customer service is fantastic! ZERO stars.

Somewhere that changes oil, fixes cars, sells batteries & tires, fixes tires & has most anything else an average traveler might need for his vehicle. Of course Connors also has cigarettes, lottery tickets, coffee, pop, beer, snacks & some food. Same as the far more common now "Connivence Store" type "gas stations" that might have a "air hose" but have little to nothing else for your vehicle beyond gas & quarts of oil. Since 1940 4 generations of the Connor family has owned & run this REAL Gas Station. My family has been getting our gas & car care there for 6 generations. From my Great Great Grandpa with his Model A Ford to my 21 year old son with his Chevy Van!

So, this brings me to today.... Circle K has lost $91,375 in purchases from just me, since then, & still no place to lock my expensive bike & alternate "green" & healthy form of transportation. There for I am reduced to having to now boycott & picket, this business, & bring in as many locals who also agree on this subject/concern. Picture every person I recruit, not spending this money & going to the "other" conveince store. If you don't care or respect your locals, we don't need you here. Fair Warning! That was the second time this has happened to us the other time being Main Street Cafe in Bloomer after a 20 minute drive due to lack of staff showing up! So we checked Yelp for more ideas until someone suggested Kwik Trip may have Pizza! We called them and they did have pizzas so we ordered a Large 4 Meats Pizza and a Large Supreme Pizza for take out and they said it would be ready in 20 minutes. Since they were only a few blocks away we figured out the timing and went to pick it up. When I arrived the order was hot and ready to go, and only $23 and change; what a deal. While I was there I noticed they had a cooler with more choices of pizzas to take and bake. All this and friendly service as well! Oh, and the pizzas were very good taste and quality!
