Initially the appt was made at 9:30, we arrived at 9am and was told the dr wouldn't be in the office till 1:30. Ok. Odd but It may have just been a simple mistake so we rescheduled for today at 1:30pm. We arrived at 1pm, we were put in a room, and we waited.... and waited... and waited... till about 2:30 when my dad got frustrated and finally said "let's go!". We were referred by our PCP and I could not believe the service or lack thereof that this place provides to their patients. We left, and we will never come back. This is unacceptable for a medical practice to be ran so poorly and for the doctor to have little to no regard for people's time. FIND ANOTHER NEPHROLOGY OFFICE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

He is an old school medical practitioner and very practical and logical in his care process. He does more listening then talking and wants to really help in getting my issue resolved. He is board-certified in internal medicine and nephrology, and his expertise shows in every visit. He listens carefully, challenges me when needed, and is extremely thorough in reviewing my dialysis history and overall kidney care. He picks up on things that others might miss. For example, a few months ago, my eyes were very red, and while my optometrist thought it was dryness, Dr. Fishman immediately recognized it as an issue related to my dialysis machine. Within a day or two, my eyes improved dramatically. He notices these details and acts quickly, which is incredibly reassuring. Dr. Fishman is also excellent at explaining complex medical topics. Whether it's my CVC (central venous line) or other dialysis-related procedures, he takes the time to make it clear with diagrams, examples, and patient-friendly explanations. If I could give this doctor a -10 I would! This doctor treats you like he's a robot. He goes…read morethrough his routine and when you talk to him, he ignores you. I was having a stroke right in his office. I first noticed it when I arrived at the reception desk. The receptionist asked me what doctor I was there to see, and I couldn't talk. That should have been a clue for them to ask me if I was alright, but no, she just told me to have a seat. When I was in with the doctor, I was trying to speak, slurring my words and trying very hard to form each word. I said to him, "I'm not talking too well today." He didn't respond, turned to me and said he would see me in a year and walked out of the exam room. I drove home (yes I did very carefully), and a friend called me as I came in my house. He said he couldn't understand me and he was calling 9-1-1. The paramedics came, started me on an IV, and said their tests indicated I had a stroke and needed to be transported to the hospital. This doctor shouldn't be treating anyone! I wrote him an email, describing my visit to him, and he never responded. I'm not through with him yet!!!
