Pros: ========================== -Everyone I met at Kaminski was friendly and professional. -They did the work I contracted with them to do in a fairly short period of time. -When the guys came to do the job they did quality work, in a very professional manner. -When they left, I even considered contacting them to replace the old galvanized pipe in my house sometime over the next year. I actually mentioned it to their carpenter before he left. That outcome seems unlikely now for the reasons that follow. -Once I posted my review I got a call asking how I could be more satisfied. I realize I am not their only client, and don't consider my job to be any more important than anyone else's. This said, I appreciate the effort. -I did get a refund for them for... something. Not sure what it was for. (See my last "Con" item. Cons: ========================== -We were told that they would charge half the bid in deposit, then they charged the whole thing. In fairness they reversed this charge. -My only sincere complaint is the opacity of their billing. Don't get me wrong. they gave me a VERY detailed estimate and - as I mentioned in the first part of my review - they sent me a partial refund of the initial charge. Gosh this is going to sound like I am complaining just to complain, but hear me out. The real issue is I have not yet received a detailed explanation of exactly what I was charged for. When I spoke to the company I was told that prep work went longer than expected, and was told I would get a detailed invoice. Look, I am not going to quibble over the price. I am not looking for a refund I am not due. The fact is I signed the contract, but I want to know where the money went. That is all. They did great work, and I now more than trust them. Conclusion: ==================== First impressions matter fair or not. The final assessment is, though I would work with them again, I just want to a receipt. They now have a suspended license are listed as "permanently closed" on Google, and my kitchen just has cabinet boxes without drawers, doors or tops, we don't have a sink, the stove and dishwasher aren't hooked up. The project was started in December. Originally we were told it would be finished by March. We had no communication from then in January. I reached out in February.

We placed our trust -- and our hard-earned savings -- into this company to help improve our home. What we received in return was a deeply unprofessional, chaotic, and in some cases, harmful experience. Despite paying in full and on time at every stage, the project was riddled with delays, excuses, and blame-shifting. The contractor abruptly stopped showing up before the work was complete. When we asked for accountability, we were met not with solutions, but with legal threats designed to silence our valid concerns. It's unacceptable behavior toward any customer -- let alone a disabled veteran trying to care for a young family. Health and safety were also blatantly ignored. Drywall was installed over mold-contaminated carpet, and no precautions were taken to protect our belongings while we were actively living in the home. Our kitchen was left coated in drywall dust -- on dishes, cookware, and food -- and the excuse offered was that "some customers let us know they want things covered." That level of carelessness speaks volumes. The final straw was hearing one of their team members openly admit he needed to watch YouTube tutorials on-site to figure out how to install parts of our project. Leadership failed to manage or intervene, and communication was evasive throughout. The owner, Jason, seemed more concerned with talking about his personal vacations than resolving issues. Other staff, while occasionally present, were unreliable and inconsistent. This review is not written lightly. I believe contractors should be held to the same ethical and professional standards we expect in any field. Prestige Statewide did not meet that bar. If you are a veteran, a person of color, or a family trying to protect your home, I strongly urge you to choose another company. We were left with unfinished work, health hazards, and attempts to intimidate us into silence. This isn't just about poor service. It's about how disabled veterans and families are taken advantage of -- and then threatened when they speak up. Please don't let it happen to you.

4 years ago: I got estimates from Mark and Co and 2 other suppliers. I hired Mark and Co because…read morethey were the lowest bid. Then they told me that they "forgot" to include one of the windows. They could not do the job for the quoted price, but they would do it for the price on the next lowest bid. So was this an honest mistake or a scheme to get the job at the best possible price? Incompetent or dishonest? I would be interested to know if anyone else had the same experience. Installers were dirty, poorly dressed, did not appear to know what they were doing. Left black fingerprints all over all of the interior walls. A year later I had to recaulk most of the windows. Co-owner Dave told me that I had a glass-breakage warranty. Present day: I had a broken window. The only reason I called Mark and Co is because they had promised me a glass breakage warranty. On 12/20 co-owner Kelly came and measured, and told me that I do have a glass breakage warranty. I informed Kelly that I am selling the house, that closing date is 1/13 and I need the repair done before then. Kelly said this would not be a problem. Mark and Co filed a warranty claim with Milgard on 12/20. I called Milgard on 1/4, they said Mark and Co had given them the wrong order number. After much back and forth with Mark and Co, they finally admitted that I do not have a glass breakage warranty. On 1/4 Kelly told me that "today" he would order glass to install in the existing frame, the glass would arrive 1/9, and he would install 1/10 or 1/11. On 1/9 I called to confirm this appointment. Dave told me the glass had not been ordered because Kelly "called in sick." 4 days to closing and the glass has not been ordered!!! Dave promised me that he would order the glass "today," and scheduled an appointment to install on 1/12 at 3pm. He did not show up for this appointment. At this point I cancelled my contract with Mark and Co and called another supplier. Kelly responded by leaving a rude, unprofessional, and threatening voice mail. Good riddance.
