Kyle Pharmacy has been in existence since 1912, having first been opened by Duncan MacPherson who was a local historian and photographer as well as Pharmacist. Obviously, over the years, it has seen many changes and expanded a great deal to offer many more services than just prescription filling and advice from the Pharmacist. At Kyle Pharmacy, you can buy everything from beautiful cards, stationery and gift paper to cosmetics and health supplements. There is also a nice selection of unusual toys and gifts and a small choice of local history books, many of whom have been written by local writers. Kyle Pharmacy also used to have a great selection of modern paper-backs but, unfortunately, they no longer stock them. There is an on-site film development service as well as a photocopy service. There is good disabled access. The Pharmacy is situated right on the corner of the main road, just before the traffic lights and opposite the Marine Stores. There is very little space to park outside the shop (although people do - causing traffic mayhem) but there is a large carpark just yards up from the Pharmacy on the right-hand side.
