I work for a company that provides back-up care for their employees for child care and elderly…read morecare. I signed up for the back-up child care for my 2 children. The back-up care goes through CN&T Westshore in Ohio. My first 2 experiences with their nannies, was wonderful. I started to request the two specific nannies for when I needed the back-up care. After not being able to get the requested nannies, that have already been introduced to my children, my experience went down hill! The nannies that were placed for requested days were not calling to confirm their reservation for the scheduled day until after 7pm and/or CN&T Westshore couldn't find an available nanny and was not communicating this until the last minute. I would have to constantly call in to check for the status of a nanny. I have had to take time off work to accommodate for the lack of care. The back-up care company's QA Manager even reached out to me because of the situations that continued to occur with this location. Currently, I'm in another situation where I need the back-up care and I was called at 7:30pm yesterday to be informed the nanny they had scheduled is no longer with the company. The scheduled nanny was just at my home last week and told me she was hired just 3 weeks ago! Makes me very nervous to know why she is no longer with the company. In addition, I was informed last night that the same location doesn't have any available nannies for my scheduled date.

Really disappointed in my experience with The Nanny Connection. I've worked with agencies in New…read moreYork City, Los Angeles, as well as a nanny and governess school based out of Cleveland. I have never been so disrespected and dismissed as a Certified Professional Governess before in my entire career. I was discouraged and almost reprimanded for requiring I get reimbursed for health insurance (for a full time position). That is disgusting, all full-time employees are deserved health care benefits, especially a professional proving a luxury service; being a nanny! They were hoping I would just accept anything offered or not offered to me so they could greedily collect their monetary compensation for the placement. I was also told that I should not be negotiating my salary, and I quote, "we do all of the negotiating with the families, you are not the one paying for this service".... Could you imagine. And to this I replied, "without the nannies you would have no service to provide". I have never had an agency try to push so hard Nannies also taking the role of household maid and professional chef. I made it very clear that I am a professional (I have years of nannying experience, have a bachelors in English Education, and went to a nanny school to become a certified professional governess) and will not be subjected to scrubbing the floors, when my focus and background has prepared me for the educating and nurturing of the child. (Of course I always perform any child related cleaning task and make meals for the children). I could keep going. I luckily was able to advocate for myself to this agency and demand my rightful compensation and found a family who after interviewing with me- was made aware of what I am able to provide for their children and hired me. I fear for the nannies who are not as strong and will be taken advantage of. Overall, this agency doesn't care for children, because if they did- they would want to ensure that every family is placed with the best, most skilled, professional nanny that is respected and compensated for in a professional manner.

I interviewed and was offered a position with the company as a nanny. In corresponding with the recruiters/hiring staff they were so disrespectful and rude. They expect you to bend over backwards for them and to respond to their texts/calls within 10 minutes. Meanwhile they take their good old time in responding back to my questions/concerns...if they respond at all. Would not recommend this company to either Nannies looking for employment or to families looking for care. They suck!!!
