In the beginning, I was having a lot of difficulty with my neck, and my back because of a sciatica issue & a bulge in a disk by my spine. Which actually was diagnosed years ago causing pinched nerves into my neck. So the deals I've gotten by buying more than one massage at a time gave me the opportunity to see her more often. Let me tell you, that first year I was trying to work on my health all around so I started hiking and walking and discovered my posture was bad too! Those massages coming every 3 months was a major benefit for me, although I should've been going once a month at that time. It was crazy how getting those massages always fixed things and loosened up very tight muscles. To this day I'm still going for an hour massage every 3 months-there's been time when I'm feeling like I don't need to go but I do & it's a good thing! Now at least when I go I'm not in the terrible shape I was before, but there's always a great massage that works out alot of stuff I'm not feeling like I used to(if that makes sense!) Monica has used cupping on me in the past, that was great also. She is a very nice person, knows what she's doing, and although their place is small, it's just her and her mom-they do great massage.. She even now has 90 minute massages you can get. So there are 30, 60, and 90 minute ones. Getting ready for my upcoming appointment in March & looking forward to it. I don't know what I'd do if I never came across her through friends years ago at Salon 101 in downtown Lapeer! My migraines have gotten better too. Check them out. Happened to be up north for a break and we needed a massage. A friend of my sister's recommended this spa. And we owe her for this one. The spa itself is beautiful and right on the Bay. Delighted to see hot tea waiting for us and little chocolates. And lots of little touches throughout the spa geared towards the client's comfort. Coffee, tea, snacks and a beautiful range of books, which helps when someone is waiting for you. My sister and I had full body massage. We enjoyed it from start to finish. The rooms are spotless, bright and the music was a fresh breath of air. Not your typical spa Zen sounds. Blues and jazzy sounds. Very different. The moment my sister came out (her first massage) she said "loved it and the music ". I went next. I was in need of a great massage. Tight from the neck to the waist. The masseuse worked on me for a solid 50 minutes. And another neck massage at the end. Heavenly. I highly recommend this establishment. I'm really bummed not to be staying up north a little longer as the spa is opening a brow and lashes up stairs next week.
