With all classes taken by qualified personal trainers I feel secure that I am using the right technique minimising my chance of injury. When I have had any issues they have never hesitated in providing me with exercise options. Class sizes are small meaning you get personal attention and no two classes are ever the same. Sorry Les Mills, but creativity and variety is not your strong point. I will keep returning and highly encourage anyone else to give it a go.

Greg is a great art teacher and has taught me so much and so have the other art teachers there. The staff are so friendly and make you feel like you're at home. It's such a peaceful place to go to once a week and it really helps clear your mind. Every second week we draw based on a display in the centre of the room and also do portraiture, building all your skills and helping you get better as you go on. The art store within the school sells such great quality products for a much lower price than most art supply stores out there. The framing there is also such high quality. Definitely 10/10.

It was brutal getting out of bed to go to yoga this morning (6am in Canberra = hell to someone just arrived from Brisbane) but I did it. I signed up for the ten day pass for newbies ($30 for ten days for first timers). It was easy to get sign up though they place has just changed names (Previously Align) which was kind of confusing when I got an email form Align. The place might be a little hard to find as it is up a set of stairs but just follow the people with the yoga mats. I really enjoyed my first class. It had a good flow, the moves were good and the room was very big. My colleagues go lots of times a week and they really like the classes. Overall, I am going to keep going, though this weather might defeat me.

The club offers a variety of membership options, I opted for the gym and pool membership. I am recently relocated from the U.S. and I have to say that I am a bit surprised how much gyms in the area charge, especially when you consider that most are not 24 hours and have outdated equipment. This gym is no exception, they have an odd mix of very new equipment which is very clean and very old equipment, which is quite grungy. The restroom, shower and changing facilities for both the gym and pool are in desperate need of remodel or at very minimum commercial grade cleaning. The same could be said for the pool itself. That all having been said, I don't want to give the impression that the facilities are unhygienic as I am sure they are clean. They simply look dirty and worn. As for the variety of equipment, they certainly seem to have everything one could want or need, memberships often include classes and the fees are competitive with other local establishments. Although this location is not 24 hours, many memberships provide access to other 24 hour locations if you are looking for more flexibility in the schedule. I simply wish locals would stop settling for substandard quality at prestige pricing for various services such as this.

This place is great because you can come anytime and get your work out on. If you're a 9 to 5'er…read moreand a workout beginner, this probably isn't the gym for you because it's not staffed all the time. I go and work out there early in the morning and i've never seen a staff member during my session, though they are super friendly when I have seen them. Don't worry, their hours are posted and very visible. It's basically a gym-express. It has a little bit of everything and they do a lot with the small space they take up, but can't compete with a full-size gym. Basically one of every machine so if you go during peak time, you'll find it hard to get a workout in. Being from America, I'm used to having a locker room with showers, steam rooms, etc. This place has a common area with cubby holes and you put your things there, then you can have a shower. I guess the crime rate here is really low? lol... Americans have no shame. Your things are sitting in the middle of a room filled with people and your belongings will definitely disappear haha. I have to come here because of work and I do think it's a great gym for what it's for. Come early or late when you have the place to yourself and it'll be a great value for the money. Just know what you're doing and prob bring a partner so you don't hurt yourself. No one will find you until the morning :)
