This place stinks.
Good:
-Architecture is very interesting in a good way, it looks good, it feels good.
-Location is another plus, not too far from center, with direct sea view.
That's were good things end.
Bad:
Service is very, very bad, on both restaurant and sauna sides. Even though this place newly opened it feels like nobody has ever put any thought into actually running this thing. It is one big mess. Where to start?
First, McDonalds is more open to accommodating customer needs that Löyly. We had an electronic gift card that we want to use to cover some part of our dinner, guess what? You need to have a printed copy of it (printed e-voucher, really?). Why? Because accountant asks for paper copies. Can you print it perhaps? No! So, accountant's good mood is more important than whatever customer needs? What's next? If cleaning personnel says that they find this place too laborious to clean, you'll start to ask customers to take off their shoes before coming in, yell at them if they make a mess while eating, and then force them to clean after themselves?
Well according to other reviews food was bad anyway, so I guess we should be happy we skipped it.
Then comes the sauna. Here customer service is more friendly, they still have no idea what they are doing though. It all looks ad hoc, and one is left with the feeling that they forgot something. Lack of signage does not help. Half of the people wonder into lounge and sauna areas fully clothed, because they could not find changing rooms. Smoke sauna is impossible to find if you do not ask for directions (service people at the reception might tell you, if they remember that is). You need to take care of your towel and sauna seat cloth, because you need to return them back to the desk (otherwise there is a 5E fee). Of course all towels and seats are identical, so you either need to keep them locked up in your locker (where they are useless), or you need to carry them everywhere, and keep an eye on them when you are in the sea or shower.
Sauna turns are timed (2h), and you will have to pay an additional feel for any overtime. Ok. But guess what? There are no clocks in Sauna not a single one, and showering, swimming and going to sauna with mobile phones and watches is not a thing somehow (who would have thought). So you need to go to reception and ask what time is it, if you need to know it.
This place has a potential to be a great place. Now it is shaping up to be a badly managed tourist trap, which is sad. read more
