My only complaint really is that from the time you order something, it takes a long time to get it; and I'm talking about a ready-made sandwich that they had piles of on the counter. Same goes for getting the check. I love how there's no rush here in Spain but when you're in a rush to get out and it takes so long, it's annoying. By the way, my review stars are not based on the slow service.

Definitely worth a quick stop for visitors to the city. Quality: We went with house special a Fried Cuttlefish Sandwich, and it was incredible. The texture was great, browned to perfection and just a little bit of spring to the fish. Pair it with a couple cold beers and you would struggle to find a better lunch. Quantity: Massive portions. Value: Very cheap. Ambiance: El Tostadero is a locals spot in Valencia. The casual shop has a wrap around bar for seating, with food options on display in front of you. They also have a few tables outside. Inside prepare to watch yourself eat and drink in a mirror with music blasting as the workers constantly push out more sandwiches. Crowd: A few regulars, constant take-out. Service: Fast.

The starter was an eggplant salad, followed by fried provolone with marmelade. When combined with a cold beer and outdoor seating in beautiful weather, this made for a very pleasant lunch. They…read morewere also incredibly cheap (ranging from 1 to 2 Euros each) and were a great way to sample a bunch of different Spanish and globally-inspired flavors. Two of my favorite fillings included the Carrillera (pork cheeks braised in red wine) paired with patatas paja (potato sticks) and a spicy mojo picon sauce; and the Pollo tandoori (spiced chicken) paired with lettuce and mojo picon. Other selections I tried included the "Serranito," made of lomo al ajillo (pork loin) with jamon and caramelized onions; the simple tuna with caramelized onions and tomato; and the Mexican-style stewed pork shoulder (Paleta de cerdo guisada deshilachada). As you can tell, many of the 100 sandwich selections simply used the same set of ingredients, toppings, and sauces in different combinations, but everything made for a tasty, great value meal nonetheless. To order, you simply list the number of the sandwiches you want on a sheet of paper and pay at the counter, and the sandwiches are served along with potato chips on a platter as soon as they're ready!

After having hard time deciding what to order, since the selection is mind blowing, we went for a giant slice of strawberry cheese cake and chocolate cake. Both very ritch, creamy and flavorful. We ordered coffee and tea to wash it all down. Total bill came down to around 10€. An excellent value for the quality and portion size. 3.5€ per slice. This is a must stop for people with a sweet tooth. Offering food branches as well.

They're being called the "Starbucks of the sandwich store" with restaurants all over Spain, some in parts of the US with plans to expand all over the US and Europe. The restaurant specialized in montaditos, crunchy Spanish rolls baked to order and packed with traditional ingredients such as Serrano ham, Spanish tortilla, Chorizo sausage and Manchego cheese. The traditional 5-inch sandwiches that give the chain it's name some nights cost just €1, while beer is €2. The restaurants have a varied clientele with the ones located close to universities packed with students. Given the prices that's hardly a surprise! Ordering your food feels like a cross between Nando's and Argos where you write down everything you want on a little piece of paper with a little pen before proceeding to pay at the till. Someone will then call out your name at the top of their lungs from the kitchen so make it interesting and think of something fun for them to shout! Make sure you have dessert. The chocolate rolls with m&ms or Oreos topped with whipped cream are definitely worth the extra calories! All in all a good meal with friends that's good for your wallet as well as your stomach!

Just tried the 100 Burger I've been hearing so much about. OMG... what a disappointment…read more This is easily one of the top three worst burgers I've ever had. I'd honestly take just about any burger over this one. It was served cold with absolutely no seasoning. I ordered it medium and it came out basically raw. No salt, no pepper, no flavor. They use an imitation In N Out style sauce, and the bun tasted like it was a few days old. The bacon was like aged beef jerky, so bad. It's actually hard to mess up a cheeseburger, but these guys somehow pulled it off. And don't let the line fool you. It's long because of the hype, and they seem to take one person's order every five to ten minutes. Even if the line looks short, expect to wait. I honestly don't understand the hype. I'd avoid this place at all costs. As always, this is just my honest opinion Acabo de probar la famosa 100 Burger de la que tanto había escuchado. Qué decepción.
