I didn't even go ask her questions or wasn't bothering anyone at all. Why is it even necessary to come up to me emphasizing that statement again? But then, I saw that same particular staff going to the backroom getting more black caps and passing them to her colleague. If you plan on lying to people by being a jerk, then just stick to your story all the way. It's not that "there're no more for the day." But rather, she's stingy and just doesn't want to give it out lol. Even saw her whispering to other staff and eyeing at me. You want the public to know more about the coffee machine brand Flavia. But then, you don't want to give out promotional merch by turning people away with the lying. Makes me feel unwelcoming. I left shortly afterwards. Wouldn't go out of my way for this imo. I was just so happened to be in the area.

Sometimes you can get the goodie bag right away, sometimes you've to wait like 30 minutes in line before getting to the front. It's not bad at all. Considered as faster than most branded pop ups. Although, today's the last day so that might be a bit different. The first 500 people on each day are able to redeem a free gift bag of two full size products (milky mist + milky toner) and a red spa headband with the Thayers logo. Iced coffee will also be served while supplies last. After the initial first 500, then the staff will bring out the spinning wheel determining which travel size product you'll end up getting to take home. I am hearing for the last day today, there're three full size products in the gift bag if you're the first 500 people in line at the pop up. Staff is friendly and helpful to answer your questions about Thayers and the products. Service is efficient and fast. Don't walk, run over there now!!!

They let you test try a blob of their bestselling products like the body oil & body serum on both of your arms. So, you could really see the comparison and difference for yourself if there was any. Then, the public could get a mini bright orange Uni-logo terry-cloth pouch (coin purse size) with two perfume vial samples + 50ml travel size 24-hour body serum + branded white clay ornament (while supplies last). The public could make a purchase too if they happened to want full size products in a bigger pouch. From the back to the front of the line, it took around 20 minutes in total to get your free goodies. Line looked long but moved super fast. You could sample a free mini iced coffee too on the way out.

I am exceedingly fond of lace, but knew absolutely nothing about its history, or how it's made. After a couple of hours here, I knew. This was a carefully and beautifully curated exhibition, on (I think) 3 floors. I could have sworn that I had more pictures. Anyway, one learns how lace was originally made: by young women, on a curved pillow. There are a couple of paintings of lacemakers, pillows on their laps. The exhibit also covers machine-made lace, with a video of lace machines. They're gigantic. There are also a few displays of lace clothing, and a video by a modern lacemaker. The final product, a collar, is framed. This is a wonderful place. The staff is friendly and gracious.

My husband and I stopped by the David Zwirner galleries on 19th and 20th Streets last Saturday, and…read moreI was really glad we did. David Zwirner is one of the prestige art galleries in NYC. They have the 19th St and 20th St galleries in Chelsea, as well as a gallery on Walker Street and another on E 69th. We stopped by the gallery on W 20th to see "Gerhard Richter: Landschaften," which was incredible. Considering he's one of the foremost contemporary German painters, I've rarely seen his works in museum collections and exhibits, and I was thrilled to have a chance to see so many of his paintings in one gallery. (The exhibit closes on July 10 if you want to see it.) This David Zwirner gallery is a little larger than some of the others, but it's just as minimalist, clean, and beautiful as all David Zwirner galleries. Because David Zwirner has several galleries in these two blocks, his galleries are a great start for a gallery crawl of Chelsea. After our visit, I signed up for David Zwirner's email newsletter so I can keep up with future exhibits. The gallery's shows are museum-quality, and I look forward to visiting again in the future!

((4.5 stars))…read more Meredith's Bakery is a Hudson Valley bakery that appears at many of NYC's greenmarkets from Union Square to Chelsea to Columbia University. stopped by their bakery stand at the Union Square Greenmarket year-round (Wednesdays only). this one of the larger tented stands where a variety of traditionally baked, gluten-free, and sugar-free items. the hand-made preservative-free baked goods are neatly arranged from breads cookies to pies to scones and more. ingredient lists are stickered on packaging, so you can check for allergens and such. ended up stopping here before the Greenmarket closed, so pickings were pretty thin and this bakery stand is fairly popular. ended up getting a pack of four small oatmeal raisin cookies and even though that isn't a go-to cookie for me...the cookie was very good. the oatmeal cookie was firm on the outside with a moist, chewiness on the inside. the cookie has a nice texture and clean flavor to it --the balanced sweet taste from the brown sugar and raisins with hits of cinnamon and almost caramel-like notes. tbh, if this bakery can make a good oatmeal raisin cookie, then the rest of cookies and such are more than likely really good, too. the service was quick and friendly-ish. definitely would recommend stopping by this Meredith's Bread at any of the greenmarkets in the city.
