The Antipasti were really great. Some cold and some hot items. Some with meat, some veggies. Really well done with some good flavours and fresh products...a great choice. The local white wine was also nice. Sadly the mains were a let-down. We had the tagliatelle alle rape rosse with pistachio and another pasta dish with fish. Both meals suffered of the same problem: They were just bland. The pasta was cooked fine, al dente as it should be and was fresh. As was the fish. But it still was lacking flavour. Salt, pepper...anything would have been a welcome addition. So all in all, especially looking back to our five weeks we spent in Italy, this meal was a bit of a disappointment. It has nice views, but so had our holiday home. It wasn't a bad meal....far from that. But also far from being great. Once was ok, but also enough. Maybe just for a bottle of wine and some antipasti....

Good food - nice location…read more This is one of many waterfront restaurants in lovely Trevignano Romano. Based on the good feedback and on its location we chose to have dinner here. It's nice to sit here by the lake in summer and enjoy some good meals. We had the Antipasti Platter, Fried Lake Fish, Ravioli (with Ricotta, Pistachio and Basil) and one liter of the white house wine. Tiramisu for dessert. And....everything was really tasty! Nice Antipasti with some Bruschetti, meat cuts, cheese, fried veggies. Fried Fish was plenty and very fresh. Very interesting the combination of ingredients in the Ravioli. But they matched perfectly. House wine was fine as well....especially for this price. The whole meal came together to just about 50 Euros. We really enjoyed our dinner here with the very friendly and helpful waiting staff. A good choice here in this lovely village. Surely would go back.

That included the brucheta as a starter. Both the Gnocchi Bolognese and Gnocchi Tri-color were delicious! I would highly recommend this as a stop on your journey.

And also - on our whole 5-week trip through Italy - this place had the best pizza! Like some other posters said, this place now sits right at the lake at their new location. We ordered a litre of red house wine (6 Euros!), Spaghetti Vongole, Pizza Diavola and a Panna Cotta for dessert. The Spaghetti were perfectly al dente and the vongole fresh. The Pizza looked normal, but tasted fantastic. Just a few ingredients: Mozzarella, spicy salami, fresh and fruity tomato base, some spices. Combined with a crispy thin dough. But together that made a perfect pizza, like I said: best one yet in Italy. Panna Cotta for dessert was nice, light and refreshing with raspberries and blueberries. And the whole meal only was 33 Euros. Talk about value. Great location, friendly staff, great dishes....what else you need. Highly recommended.

In particular, Fillippo has a great sense of humor and is always smiling. I think he helps people feel at ease, especially if you only know English. Their menu lists items in four languages, but trust me, their food is high quality, authentic Italian cooking. We have tried eggplant Parmesan, tagliatelle with porcini mushrooms, pasta with rocket and zucchini, and veal Milanese. Everything was delicious and reasonably priced. In fact, we think the best value on the menu is a 1/2 carafe (375 ml) of house wine (bianco or rosso) for €5. The hotel we stayed at recommended Trattoria Leoni D'Abruzzo and it was fabulous! The price was decent and it was one of the best meals I had in Italy. I think anyone who is taking a train through Italy or stopping by Roma termini should consider this restaurant for dinner. (We tried other restaurants during the other nights we stayed in Rome and they were not as great). The pork dish my dad ordered wasn't that great though. However, the pasta was amazing and the bruschetta was one of the best tasting bruschetta's ever! If anything, do stop by and try the bruschetta! The service was really good too!
