I must have dreamed this place up. After three days on the chateau route and a night in a room with…read morelots of road noise Amboise, we followed the signs to this charming hotel well off the road on the way to Chambord, but still close enough to walk to stores and restaurants. We have a private balcony overlooking the countryside, along with a shared garden area and tables. The hotel is run by a friendly family that speaks English and were pleasantly surprised to host Americans. The room has a vaulted ceiling, lots of space and a modernized bathroom, along with good wifi.

Another nice stay at this property. The front desk staff is reasonably efficient and helpful. The…read morerooms are very nice. Everything worked as it should and there is sufficient space to be comfortable.

This claims to be a four/five star hotel, but it's really not. The grounds are beautiful but the…read morerooms are really plain. The on-site restaurant isn't very good--overpriced, mediocre food and not the kind of service you'd expect for the price and setting. The hotel double-charged me for a reservation and I had to escalate it to a director to get help reversing the charge. Overall, it feels like a budget hotel that happens to be in a beautiful setting. I would definitely recommend visiting the park (renting bikes or a boat) but staying somewhere else.

Very disappointing. Rooms are tiny family of 4 in two double rooms we could not all be together…read morein one room with any comfort (squashed, standing between bed & wall). En-suite shower (no bath). VERY thin walls and other guests who kept different times to us. Had to walk through restuarant to get to & from rooms. Restuarant smelled of sewage when we arrived, of cabbage & boiled fish later in the day & then of stale food with lingering sewage odours as we ate breakfast. Breakfast disappointing. Coffee sitting in thermos flask on the side was poor. No cereal, yoghurt or fruit. Ration of a croissant (both good) & one third of a baguette & some prepackaged, metal containerd, 'jam'. Wi-fi intermittent and unreliable, TV not working.
