The grocery offers most everything you'd want from a pan-Middle Eastern grocer: dry goods, teas, frozen food, fragrant waters, syrups, canned goods, et cetera. They also have a good selection of baklava and other treats by the front counter worth checking out: they get different sweets in sometimes--always baklava but sometimes also namoura cake and other things. When they have sari burma it's normally excellent, so look for that as well. They also have a good spice selection and try to include a lot of Turkish and Persian speciality items as well (this include Turkish frozen goods and yes, the pudding mixes also). The restaurant portion is a buffet and they have a hot bar and cold bar. The hot bar has traditional Egyptian foods and was very good when I tried it while the cold bar has things that could also be taken away like hummus, salads, and babaganoush. You can get the hot bar to-go as well, but having things like hummus is a big deal because you can purchase enough to have on hand for the week. I hope the restaurant continues to work out for them: buffets only make money if they have a lot of customers, so I really hope the community supports this fine establish and wonderful people who own and run it.

Everything is made fresh to order with higher quality ingredients. This is very evident in the taste of the sandwiches, they are truly next level! I ended up ordering a Muffuletta sandwich and a walking taco. Both of these were on the daily special menu. The muffuletta was loaded with ham, salami, mortadella, Swiss cheese, provolone, olives, Dijon aioli, lettuce, tomato, and onion on ciabatta. This sandwich was huge! Like other grocery stores including Publix, Walmart, etc. not all food items sold have "safe" ingredients. For example "cottonseed oil" used in some of the chips by the brand named "Clancy's" not all chips have this harsh ingredient so due your diligence. The overall feel of Aldi is rather quaint and straight forward. Still enough options to browse the aisles slowly but also makes for quick trips that save time you can't get from Wally's world. Reasons to shop at Aldi -veggies/fruits (on average cheaper than Walmart but to be warned produce sells out fast) -better cuts and prices for beef than Walmart (Walmart beef is ridiculous, haven't bothered supporting their beef in years. Much rather buy beef from here or the local butchery) -support a company that keeps prices lower for citizens (Aldi is UK based not USA, hence the "consumer priority" and not "shareholder priority" that you typically see in USA based companies) -save a dollar or two on almost everything you buy if coming from Walmart (and 3-4 dollars saved if you're coming Publix/whole foods) -if you enjoy protein bars (ingredients wise they are higher in protein and have better ingredients than protein bars offered at Walmart) also the cheapest bars per box you'll find at any grocery store! Do remember, .25¢ for a cart and bring your own reusable grocery bags. If not you can purchase some at the counter or even use empty Aldi boxes if they are available.
