I went here with my brother to get some fries, pogos (aka corn dogs, I hadn't realized that "pogo" is an exclusively Canadian term until my American friend, Karen K, pointed it out to me, lol) and hot dogs for my little nieces. I have never had a pogo in my life and have no inclinations to change that. I also don't like hot dogs, so all I tried were the fries and they were great. The fries were a bit sweet (from the type of potatoes they use) and they tasted fresh and not from frozen. I liked the texture, they were not mealy. I like that they are unsalted. I think a large was like $6 or something like that. Pogos and hotdogs are $0.99 each. My older niece who is a picky eater and had never had a pogo before, took one bite and proclaimed "I LOVE POGOS!" Lol. She ate one and a half pogos, which is a lot for her. The breading looked crispy. The hotdogs were tiny and they were steamed. The nieces rejected them so my brother and dad ended up eating them. The place is really popular; we had to stand in line for a long time. Decor is old school diner-like. It reminds me of those casse-croutes that are ubiquitous in Montreal like La Belle Province, Lafleur Restaurants, and Green Stop. Most food here is greasy and fried. If you're trying to eat healthy this is not the place to go. It's not my kind of place, but for what it is, I think it's good. It's in a plaza, so lots of free parking. read more

I was looking forward to trying this based on the reviews and was disappointed. Ordered the poutine and it just was underwhelming. The gravy didn't have much flavour wasn't warm enough, so the cheese barely melted. It just kind of sat there and was a bit congealed. Fries were nothing the write home about either. I was expecting a lot better based on the reviews. Maybe it was an off day who knows. The inside needs some updating, as it's kind of dark inside, they barely had any lights on. read more

I visit Orleans a few times a year because my brother lives here. We always go to La Belle Poutine at every visit because the food is absolutely delicious, and comes in plentiful quantities. The smoked meat sandwiches are flavourful and large, so you won't be unsatisfied. And I often upgrade to a poutine from the regular fries. The fries are hand-cut and have a great taste and texture. The gravy is thick and flavourful, and the cheese curds are squeaky, just like they should be. I have never managed to finish the combo before because it is just too much food. The dining room is also a lot larger than it appears from the outside. There is plenty of seating, the restaurant is clean, and the staff are helpful. Definitely recommend this restaurant, and can't wait for my next visit! read more

Have only had their menu twice, but amazed each time in a different way. The first time it was poutine all the way, Wife had the traditional while I did the pulled pork and we shred a side of fried rings. Breaking p the rings on the poutine made terrific more so! Last week we ordered delivery because I had twisted my leg and the driveway was covered by frozen snow and the city plow had just passed. But the lad, rose to the challenge, delivered through the garage door and even spread salt and grit to make walking easier. But, don't forget the food: more pulled pork and onion rings for me, while the wife did her traditional poutine but with a quarter pound hamburger and cheese.Awesome once again, and she says she liked the burger even more that the last one she had had from The Works. The hotdogs are cheap and filling. I would recommend if someone is not willing to spend a lot of money but still want something decent. Employees are also friendly and the place is kinda big despite it's small entrance. read more

The prices are a little bit more on the expensive side for not as much portion as you would expect. There is a weird spice in the poutine gravy, not inedible but wouldn't buy again. French fries are great! read more

If you're looking for a big double barrel meal with heaping helpings of fresh-cooked meat, potatoes and fixings, this place just brings it. As good for its Michigan hots (with loads of meat sauce and onions) as for its multiple options on poutine and its burgers, this a great place to take a family for a tasty, calorie-filled dinner. After having gone through the menu after numerous visits, I still think they do a great smoked meat sandwich, complimented with a fine coleslaw and irresistible fresh-cut fries that you can't help but keep eating until they're all gone. It's a stomach-filling meal, and you may need to walk it off later, but for a great, reasonably priced meal like you get at this place, it's more than worth it. read more

I've been here a few times and the food is always good.. the fries are great and they always give you a generous serving with combos. The smoked meat is fantastic as is the burgers but the hot dogs seem boring. There are alot of different options for poutine.. the prices are great. Great poutine!!! Probably the best in town when it comes to size, cost and quality of the poutine on offer. There are other great diner style dishes too like pogo sticks and smoked meat sandwiches. It's staff are friendly and the interior has a fun diner style 50's vibe. I hope this place is around for awhile because it is my go to poutine stop. read more
