The apotheke, which features punt e mes, fernet, and creme de menthe is one of the best cocktails I have ever tried, and it cooled my mouth and throat with every sip. Other standouts include the american negroni (with bourbon instead of gin), and the bahia, an island inspired drink made with rum, pineapple, and coconut. It tasted like an adult milkshake done right, a true delight. We enjoyed the place so much we came twice in just four days. Bonus points for giving free tap water. Extra bonus points for the small side dishes of pretzels and olives that cone free alongside your drinks. An unprecedented triple bonus points for exceptional service during both visits. Prost!

Then he continued to shame us for being from New York, admitted he never went there, and then proceeded to brag about being from bumblefuck, Pennsylvania, and how his son never pays for anything when he goes to Pennsylvania. Drinks list here is big and there is a good selection of cocktails including house specialties. Bar food menu is mainly a selection of Asian dumplings, some vegetarian choices and buns and so on. I ordered a Truffle Martini and was quite disappointed. The intensity of truffle was missing and if you were blind tasting you wouldn't know it was a truffle martini. The Negroni was nice and well made. The fried calamari was good and I enjoyed it. Service is very friendly and English is spoken. It was a bit uncoordinated but ok. Prices are high for the food but not over the top. Being a hotel bar you have to account for the premium here. It was a nice drinks evening and the overall experience won't bring me rushing back here again. It was a nice bar with great views.

The food was excellent. I had the Bruchetta, which tasted fresh and the Luinguini Al Tartufo, which was slightly creamy, not overly heavy, and a perfect balance with fresh shaved black truffle. I squeezed in room for the Gateau au Chocolat, and I'm really glad I did. If you like a cocktail that's not too sweet, and also tropical, the Caribbean Milk (I'm 90% sure that's what it's called) is reaallly good. The bartender was very helpful with suggestions, and once the bar started to get busier, the owner came and made drinks from the well and served half the bar through the busy, dinner rush. Great food and friendly service will bring me back there next time I'm in Munich for sure.
