Make sure you have plenty of euros when visiting Calabria, not many places take debit or credit card in this region. If you are in Tropea, I highly recommended this place for a quick bite!

We ordered an antipasti plate as a starter to share (3persons). It had both cheese, various meat and sausages as well as sundried tomatoes and olives. The bread is the best I've tasted in Catalonia so far - very moist on the inside and crispy in the outside. As mains we shared two pastas - both with fish. One with swordfish and eggplant and the another with a red fish and lemon. Both were extremely tasty and we were very full after both courses. To accompany he food we enjoyed local wine served in a clay pourer. Very fruity and nice. The interior is very authentic style and the service there was extremely nice! And as many Catalonian restaurants it isn't that expensive! Extremely value for money you get here! One of the best meals on my holiday in Catalonia.

The key, as always, is in the quality of the ingredients. They try their best to have everything fresh and homemade (or locally produced), the choices on the menu might not be enormous but you know what you get and they frankly tell you everything you want to know. The cuisine is regional and well executed and as usual in southern Italy quite inexpensive for the great food you get.

This is one of the few restaurants in the area that had plenty of public parking nearby at a small square and on the streets of a large boulevard. Staff was very accommodating to our requests for some special items but most of what can be ordered and eaten is already prepared and sitting out under heat lamps. If I had to give this a classification of food type I would say this is college student junk food.
