Located next to Starbucks, this spot has a beautiful view of the Grand Place on their outdoor patio, and a nice rustic interior if dining inside. Our server was nice but I feel like he and the rest of the waiters are kind of biased, especially if you don't speak French fluently. He attended to two couples that arrived after us first, and didn't offer us any toppings when we ordered waffles. When we realized that they gave other customers syrup and jam, our waffles were already eaten. FYI, they charged us €6 for plain Belgian waffles, then I later found that other places sold them toppings and all, for a third of the price. The waiter did switch to English when he realized we didn't know French, and tried to help us find tours and stuff to do, so it wasn't all that bad. All in all... Meh. Good food, good view, but kind of a rip off. €5+ for fresh squeezed orange juice? €6 for plain waffles? An omelette for €13? Whatever service if your French sucks? Nope. Never again. Definite tourist trap.

Amazing spot. Enjoyed the maes beer on tap. Service was a bit slow but worth the wait to sit in such a prime location!

They've got so many offerings, quaint decor on every floor, various places to sit, including a rooftop. It's definitely a touristy thing to do but with over 2,000 beers to choose from, who cares? I loved every minute of it. It's crazy busy at times especially when live music events are taking place. We shared a Yard Stick which were multiple beers (smaller taster sizes). See my pics for exactly how many. Service was exceptional.

They're known for having one of the biggest beer selections in the world, and you can literally spend hours just reading the menu. We ordered their famous beer flight that comes with 10 different types of beers. Each one was completely unique, different flavors, colors, and strengths. It was such a fun way to try a variety without committing to just one. Some were light and refreshing, others were strong and bold. I loved that every glass felt like a new experience. The service was great! The staff were friendly, welcoming, and made the whole experience even better. They also have a photobooth inside, which was such a fun surprise. Perfect spot to make memories with friends. If you're in Brussels and want the full Belgian beer experience, this spot is a must-visit. So worth it!

Their rabbit stew was also very delicious and it paired so well with their fries. I'm usually not a big fan of fries, but I could not stop eating them. Service: We didn't have a reservation, but they were able to quickly accommodate us as we got there a bit before rush hour. However, I would definitely recommend making a reservation as it gets pretty busy, especially with locals. All the staff were very nice and attentive as well! Ambiance: They have several levels to accommodate more people. They have their main bar on the first floor, but you do have to hike up a bit of stairs to get to the restroom as there's a flight of narrow stairs, so be careful. I really enjoyed dining here as it felt like a very local spot. This restaurant was definitely the highlight of our trip to Brussels!

The mussels are fresh and flavorful, and you can't help but slurp, I mean scoop up, some of the cream and garlic sauce in between each mussel. The service was great, they take credit cards with chips, and the selection/prices were unbeatable. The interior is cozy and classic, with a large buffalo head perched above the bar. While bar service is only downstairs on slow nights, I highly recommend sitting upstairs where there are several small tables with benches hanging from the wall. The tables overlook the bar area below. Contrary to a previous review, while the music and atmosphere can become loud on the weekends, we never had an issue hearing each other in conversation. They played great music throughout the night. Overall, cafe Bizon is highly highly recommended as one of my favorite bars visited throughout my travels.
