Very unprofessional workers, this rude woman was my driver and when I got to my destination, I was counting the money, gave her the money for the ride and was counting out more money so I could give her a fair tip considering the price of the ride and all I hear is "what, so no tip? " How rude do you have to be to say that?!? She could clearly see I was counting the money and that I didn't leave the cab yet. So impatient. So I'm new to Lewiston and I'm walking around exploring the neighborhoods when I get that feeling I'm being watched. I take another few cautious steps and I can hear tires slowing down to match my pace. I turn back to look and it's one of these orange and white taxis. I did not call or hail a taxi so I just think it's coincidence and keep walking... AND THEN I hear the man inside the cab say "six dollars." So being creeped out I keep walking attempting to look calm and distracted by the scenery while he slowly follows me down the block saying "six dollars." AS SOON as I could turn the corner to the alleyway and GTFO of there I did. Now every time I see those orange and white taxis I fell creeped out and will never use one. Actions like these will lose customers who are already choosing Uber and Lyft. read more

I've been using this cab company on occasion for years. I've had a few problems over the years (mostly just being late to timed pick-ups, a few times with getting with my pick-up address wrong). I always just shrugged it off and kept using them because it wasn't that often I needed a cab and I had memorized their number. This last time the person receiving calls misheard my address twice. And when he got it wrong the second time, he got angry and accused me of giving the wrong addresses on purpose, stating that "I don't get addresses wrong". If you do decide to use them, I recommend never relying on timed pick-ups and to always double-check they understood the address correctly. At the time this post was created, there isn't much for Uber in the L/A area, but you might have luck getting a Lyft. And they are cheaper too. read more

The cabs may not look the best but seem very safe , the drivers are respectful most of the time but appreciate you more when you communicate and not relay on the dispatch as they have lost communication , would be 5 stars but they arnt the best yet . Really bailed me out of a jam when another cab company failed to show up for a time call (scheduled pickup). Got myself and my cat (who was in a carrier) to our appointment at the groomer with time to spare. I won't be going with the other cab company anymore and will be using L.A. Cab exclusively, which also includes my trip to the JetPort. The only down side was the driver who picked me up blasted music. You can't do that with most cats, especially when they're in an environment they're unsure about. My cats are rescue cats, so this really didn't sit well with my youngest male. P.S. To the woman who reviewed L.A. Cab in 2015, all taxi companies in the Lewiston/Auburn area are ride share taxis. That also means you'll have to endure another passenger stopping or even smelling like weed.... The only way to get around that is to buy a car. read more

The cab companies around here tend to be extremely rude (la cab most of all. They've literally acted annoyed at me for not ever hearing of the street I asked for a ride to.) That's why, as much as I'd like to support local business, I usually end up using lyft. Tonight, My boyfriend had a particularly bad experience. He called for a ride. The driver told him that he smelled like weed and threatened to drive him to the precinct. 1. I picked him up. He didn't smell like weed. 2. Even if he had, weed is completely legal, so I'm not sure why he threatened to drive him to the police station. He then kicked him out of the cab and proceeded to call him the n word. So, in summary, not only are they consistently rude. They're also racist. Stay away. Literally walking would be a better choice. read more

I've taken LA cab a couple times and paid with my card both times. Today I got a ride home, the driver was nice, but when I tried to pay she started raising her voice and saying they don't take cards. I immediately started having a panic attack because I suffer From ptsd and because the shift in her dimeanor was so sudden. She called the dispatcher and they backed her up, which was a lie because they have always taken My card before. I have receipts I'm looking at right now to prove it. Maybe they don't give every driver a card reader but they were lying when they said they never take cards. They tried to bring me to an atm but they're charging way Too much to begin with so I can't afford an atm fee. The dispatcher said theyd take my card number over the phone tomorrow. That whole situation was aggressive, scary, and threatening. It sounded like this has happened to her multiple times and I empathize because that's really stressful, but that experience scared me so much I don't know how I'm going to get around town anymore. I'm scared to use their service, which Sucks because I really need to use a cab service To get around. It's 2021. you're expected to accept Digital payment. Period. First of all this is what happened I made a time call for them to pick me up to bring me to work and they were not there on time so I called to see if they were on their way and the dispatcher said do not worry they're on their way they're pulling over any second at your house to which she completely lied to me so it made it so I had to run to work physically run to work because I was late and they never ever showed up at my house because my daughter waited there to see if they showed up for me now I'm going to put this out there I'm going to go ahead and say that is absolutely terrible customer service and I will never be using these guys again she just for the reason that they made me late for work and I got in trouble read more

number 6 cab showed up early driver was polite dressed professional his cab was clean we got to designation promptly. Different cab driver picked us up after dinner he was polite but picked up another rider. The man started requesting for the driver to stop at one gas station, then a store the driver asked if we minded I said yes. The other rider asked who called the company first driver said he was there for us & we were his pick up. The dispatcher Billy ok the second pick up I felt this was inappropriate the other man was selfish making our paid ride uncomfortable, unnecessarily tense and much longer in time with hassel after an already long day. read more

I personally can't stand them and some of their drivers. Dispatch can be very rude and unprofessional and their drivers can be unprofessional. One talked about how he is always looking to get high and another driver thinks it's okay to hit on his customers. One went as far as finding me on social media and got very forward with me sexually. Riding with them has made me uncomfortable and I have since switch to Uber. I will take the higher price for a safer more reliable ride. Though the ONLY way I will take LA Cab is on an absolutely LAST resort. I will NEVER recommend them to anyone. read more
