For what it is, La Casa del Abuelo is perfect. We arrived in La Paz the afternoon of New Year's Eve while the city was in the midst of a flash flood. Most of the restaurants near our hotel were closed or required reservations, whereas, I just needed to get something for my family to eat without trying to cross badly flooded streets on both sides of me. La Casa del Abuela has two small tables and serves Mexican food, hamburgers and sandwiches. They aren't fancy or especially well executed, but they are hot and filling. The staff was friendly and at that moment they were the only restaurant I could walk to and my kids were hungry so, my hat is off to them.
