Sometimes you just want to kick back and enjoy a box of fine chocolates. I had my brother buy a…read morefabulous box of mixed chocolates from Jeff de Bruges in Strasbourg during his recent visit. Jeff de Bruges is a renowned French chocolatier with a series of shoppes throughout France. The cocoa is sourced sustainably and social responsible from their plantains in Ecuador. The clerks were friendly and let him taste a chocolate before he bought the box. The chocolates taste amazing with intense chocolate flavor. The filled chocolates are delicate and beautiful. The solid chocolate is delicious, especially the dark chocolate. I wholeheartedly recommend Jeff de Bruges chocolate.

Lovely holiday window display drew us into Jeff de Bruges…read more They had a large case of individual chocolates as well as gorgeous pre-boxed chocolates. We selected a nice marzipan-filled milk chocolate log kind of thing & purchased a decorative box to bring back for family The marzipan log was okay - the almond flavor was very subtle & I am thinking the dark chocolate would have been a better pairing.....and they had that on offer so I'll put it to the test next time The decorative box never made it to the family - I just couldn't resist the cute houses, doggies and foiled chocolates in both dark and milk varieties. They were absolutely scrumptious & the milk chocolates in particular just melted in our mouths If seeking some nice Belgian chocolates to bring back as a gift ( or to indulge yourself ) you'll find a treat at Jeff de Bruges

Besides, who doesn't like chocolate? Cartoon villains, that's it. Vegan? Covered. Seasonal flavors? Got 'em. Buckets of nougat, you better believe it. I can get gift boxes and comically large candies, sacks of chocolate squares, and much of it is discounted. The museum is free, and walks you through the process of creating chocolate, from cultivation to marketing. Plus, you get a free piece at the end.

Museum only, No tours [Waldenbuch, Germany]…read more We arrived a little early at the museum hoping to inquire about a tour (similar to the Jelly Belly Factory in Fairfield CA or the Tillamook Creamer in OR) but unfortunately it wasn't offered. Museum Ritter and Chocolate Exhibition is directly adjacent to the Ritter Sport chocolate factory. There are featured art collection in the museum on the second floor. A short video depicting the history of the chocolate was also shown in a small theatre. The Ritter Sport Chocolate Exhibition tells the story behind these popular square chocolate bar and the successful brand behind it. This experience involves all of the senses -- guests smell, taste, hear and feel their way through the world of the cocoa bean! Then we made our way to the SchokoLaden shop where we stocked up on my favorites and amazing bargain-priced chocolates! This was where we actually spent most of our time ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ In Waldenbuch everything revolves around the Square! Review #4060
