First of all even if they actually offered what is advertised it is way too expensive for the area. Here is what happened to me. After checking in and trying to sleep the lofts no name where I am staying is in the intersection of two very busy very noisy streets and the windows don't actually seal so you get all the noise. They did offer ear plugs in room but even with them in it was unbearable. I changed rooms at it is slightly better but still awful. Next the promise of coffee and water in room is only complimentary once. If you stay more than one night there is a fee. Second the Continental breakfast they advertise is actually just juice or coffee and one small slice of banana bread. Not the beautiful spread they describe and show in pictures. The Sunday brunch experience is no more since COVID. Maybe change the website. The vehicle that is offered based on availability is on for one hour without extra charge and traffic is so bad in SMA you couldn't get anywhere and back in that time. The jacuzzi tubs must be reserved so the water can heat up so you better know what you need ahead of time. Booked for a week and spent a fortune to be very disappointed. They are very polite about disappointing you but nothing had been done to correct the problems. There are tons of beautiful places here. Look elsewhere!

Amazing bed and breakfast. Tapas were delicious. Our host Gustavo was very attentive. The chef even…read morecame out to greet us and recommend some items from her menu. Highly recommended. And safe for tourists.

I returned to handle immigration and other relocation tasks, and Antigua Capilla has become my home away from home. It offers everything I need - comfort, relaxation, tranquility, amazing views of the city and sunsets, and a location close enough to be part of the action in Centro Histórico but removed enough from the hustle and bustle to offer quiet and serenity. The property is beautiful colonial architecture, impeccably designed with amazing Talavera tiles, and the courtyard is a botanical delight! The property is spotless, and the staff are friendly and very accommodating. Staying at Antigua Capilla enhances your overall experience while in San Miguel de Allende!

Nestled up a hill, Antigua Capilla is clean, modern and had a well thought-out layout. The courtyard with the small ancient chapel was gorgeous and the rooftop amazing. Each room is unique, so you can choose the one according to your preferences. Shout out to our room, the Oaxaca room, as it had a super cute candle adorned shower, a door to the bathroom, a table by the window and bright artwork. Antigua Capilla has filtered tap water, you still can't drink it but it's safe to brush your teeth with and not worry at all. They provide 24/7 access to a filtered water bubbler in the kitchen that provides hot and cold water, perfect for refilling water bottles with. Their daily housekeeping service will also refill a container in your room with drinkable water. They also have a fridge of drinks and snacks you can purchase throughout your stay (there is also a small market just steps away from the front entrance). They also have other thoughtful in-room amenities like quality sheets and towels, almost-black out curtains, ear plugs (you can hear roosters in the morning), tissue packets, lots of hangers and liquid hand soap. The breakfast each morning was delicious, some of the best meals I had in SMA! The venue, like I mentioned, is up the hill so it's not always the easiest to walk up after a long day of sightseeing but green taxis are available everywhere in SMA so it's easy to get back within minutes from the city center for like $6 USD. Just make sure you let the taxi know the cross streets, not just the address (Cuesta de San Jose and Callejon de Chepito). They also have reliable suggestions for airport transportation. Most wedding guests had issues with rides to and from the airport but the company Antigua Capilla booked for us was seamless. The tips sheet they provided in-room for other taxis, restaurants and places to see were spot on. Be sure to check out the Mercado de Artesanias (The Artisan Market) and various rooftop bars like La Unica and Fatima 7. Thanks Antigua Capilla!
