This taberna (its what they call taverns or bars here) is right around the corner from the hostel we stayed at and recommended by our hostel hoat. We arrived late night on a Thursday and wanted to check out the neighborhood so we came in right before they started to close.
The bartender lady was very nice, she spoke very little English but was still very helpful. We each ordered a glass of red for €2,50 each which comes with free tapas of our choice. The tapas options are written on the chalk board. We asked her for her recommendation and she said she really likes the tortilla espanola. So we ordered that with the Panceta con huevo (bacon and egg) which also comes with fries.
The tapas were good, the wine was delicious and the service was fantastic!
We wanted to check out other tabernas but most were closed around midnight. read more
