It is very cozy and Martinn is an outstanding hostess.  Her knowledge of Paris' attractions and restaurants is extensive and she generously shares that knowledge. The location of the apartment is conducive to being able to walk to many places you will want to visit and dine. We are eagerly waiting to go again.

Martinn, was especially helpful with suggestions and as she is a fellow "foodie" we hit it off from the start. We took her up on the optional dinner at her residence, and it was just a lovely, lovely evening of good food and great conversation. The breakfast Martinn provided lasted a few days, and was a great treat. I highly recommend, and we will have no hesitation in staying here again on our next trip. If you like to immerse yourself in a place when you visit, this is the place for you.

We stayed at Bonne Nuit during a quick weekend getaway from nearby Amsterdam, which is only 3 hours away by high-speed train. Worth it. Do it! It was our first time in Paris and it was everything we dreamed it would be. Bonne Nuit and its wonderful hosts, Jean-Luc and his wife, made it even more magical. We arrived around midnight, but Jean-Luc stayed up to personally greet us and give us a brief, whispered tour of the beautiful house. We loved it from the moment we saw the lion-head door knocker on the front door to the stone entry way to the winding, creaking staircase leading to the rooms. We stayed in the Enclos des Templiers room, which overlooks the inner courtyard. The details in the room--the exposed wooden beams, the stone sink, and the absence of a TV--made it simply perfect. The mattress and pillows were perfection. We woke up both mornings to a light breakfast, personally served by Jean-Luc and his wife in the dining area of the house. This is where we also met a couple from Florida and a girl from Hong Kong. Bonne Nuit obviously appeals to a global audience and we could see why! One of the best parts of Bonne Nuit's location is its proximity to the most amazing flea market we've ever been to. Mere steps away are some of the coolest, more interesting treasures you will find anywhere. This flea market is simply spectacular and is worth at least two days' time, if you have it. No joke. We bought several postcards here and Jean-Luc was kind enough to mail them for us after our departure since we left on a Sunday and the post office was closed. So sweet! True hospitality. The B&B is very close to the République metro stop and from there, you can easily criss-cross the entire city. A wonderful stay, through and through. You will definitely get your "bonne nuit's rest" here! ;-)

Found this place right here on Yelp. Good ratings, looked like a good location…read more We arrived by train, and getting the #63 bus drops you right around the corner from here. Which was convenient. Check-in was fine. We were on the third floor, and they have a lift!. Lift holds 1 person with luggage or two without. No, I'm not kidding. We were three with luggage. I got some exercise using the stairs several times. The room was very small. The extra bed was not much more than a cot (steel frame with wood slats), and not very comfortable. That was disappointing and is partially why I can't go to four stars here. Even a basic rollaway bed would have been better. I used the bedspreads to augment the padding to make it more comfortable. The ceiling fan spun the wrong way, and was incredibly noisy. So we didn't use it. They floor fan was OK. There is no A/C, so if it's really hot the rooms could get uncomfortable. Fortunately it was moderate while we were here. There is no fridge or microwave in the room, and the breakfast is what we would call "Continental". Not worth the cost, IMO. Better to wander a few blocks and get some better food. Staff friendly and helpful. Location seems good (Latin Quarter near Notre Dame). I would stay here again with just two of us, but not any more than that. The extra bed is terrible, and you still have to pay for it. One peculiar note...if you get a Yelp check-in coupon don't be surprised if they don't know anything about it. They claim they didn't authorize it. They honored it anyway, but it seems weird such a coupon would pop up and they don't know about it. Getting to CDG airport is about 60 euros by taxi, but we were warned the metro would be crowded and trying to use it with luggage would be challenging. So we did the taxi. But I suspect this would be true of most hotels in the heart of Paris. CDG seems to be well outside the city.

It is like a burger in a big city, you can not compare a 15$ Huntsmans burger with two cheeses, hickory smoked bacon and fresh baked bread to a Dicks Deluxe. This is just not fare. So with this hotel, no it is not the George V, but for what it is, it does really well. The only thing I thought was funny was they do not let you book by phone, it has to be done online. Okay, this is not a big deal but for my grandparents it would be a deal breaker.

For the price point and brand, we were hoping for a little more space, but that's city traveling for you. Housekeeping came once a day. Overall, it's a nice option if location is in your top priority.

Read this before booking!…read more The hotel is in an excellent location, just a few minute walk from the Eiffel tower and good restaurants. We reserved the Eiffel tower suite. The room was beautiful (room 211 is the only room with a balcony). Upon checking in, I had to sign a form that stated that I would not move the bed. First time I have ever heard that. The shower, tub, and sinks are separate from the toilet. The shower is a rain shower and it has a handheld sprayer. The toilet has it's own little room with a small sink in it. It also has floor to ceiling opening windows, so if you want your privacy, be sure to close the curtains. All the floor to ceiling windows open, lots of closet space is available as well. There is a mini-fridge stocked with drinks and candy. Our fridge was pretty dirty and was leaking water. The staff there when we checked in were very nice and friendly. They even went out of their way to send up a nice surprise celebrating my son's birthday. We booked this room specifically because on the website it stated that you could see the Eiffel Tower from the room. We looked at many other Marriotts in Paris that had more amenities, but my son was so excited to be able to see the Eiffel tower from the room. Well, yes, you can, EXCEPT, there is a huge construction barrier blocking more than 50% of the view of the Eiffel tower. When the gentleman came to deliver my son's bday surprise I asked him about that. He said it has been like that for over a year and it would be a while until it is moved. I was infuriated! After seeing some of the photos posted with the reviews, with the view being blocked, we had inquired with the hotel and they stated that there was nothing blocking the view. We were gone all day most days, but each time we entered or left the hotel, we were not acknowledged, no hello or goodbye, not even a glance up from the desk. The lobby is tiny so there is no way that they didn't see us. The breakfast that is included is a basket full of croissants and bread, yogurt and juice. If you have to pay for that, it is 30 euros a person. The waitress was very unfriendly. We stayed for 3 nights, after the first morning, we never went back. On the morning when we were leaving, we sat in the lobby, literally 5 feet from the front desk, after being there about 10 minutes we were finally acknowledged and the woman at the front desk asked if we wanted to check out. We settled the bill and then I told her that we were upset about the view being blocked and that I think that type of information should be clearly posted on the website as we would have chosen another hotel. She asked me "you couldn't see the Eiffel Tower?" She acted surprised. I told her the view was blocked. She said she would tell Management. I'm sorry, there is no way that this was the first complaint, the website clearly advertises the guaranteed view. If there is going to be a long term obstruction, that information should be posted. We didn't visit the pool. The hotel hallway and elevator are very small. If the view hadn't been blocked and the staff would have been more friendly, I would probably rate this hotel as a 4.

I had the hotel send a private car to pick me up from Orly. The ride was about 40 minutes as we were stuck in traffic. The driver was a great guy and kept in communications with me until we met up. Arrived at La Tamise. It was beautiful. The building front along the side street...I had chosen well. Prince greeted me and gave me my room key. Room 10...it was fantastic! Clean. Gigantic. Big shower with handheld shower heads. Big comfy bed (sans bedbugs...never saw one, thank God). My room windows were typical Parisienne. So hard for me not to keep them both open. The room was better appointed than some 5-stars. They have top-end tea (Rooibos) in the room. It is delicious, (but maybe be careful to not over do it with this tea if you are an estrogen-sensitive breast cancer survivor...look it up), the best hot cocoa packs I ever had (sorry, I was steps from Angelina's and this cocoa was way better), all the bottled water (Evian) I could drink, and top end bathroom products, (although careful if you too have nut allergies as the lotion had a nut oil). I'm telling you... when I return, my friends here have to have a room for me! It's the best!! Saleh in the breakfast room was "my new best friend." So kind, and so attentive. The hotel can't afford to lose him. His impeccable service and customer interactions were amazing. Seriously.... give this man a pay raise! (Thank you, best friend.) The breakfast was perfect. Petite dejeuner at its best!! Try the chocolate muffins. Thank God I was walking 20,000 steps a day... work off those chocolate treats!! I was so sad when I left my hotel. I switched my arrondissment to 5. I had pre-planned that to happen, but wished I had stayed longer at Hôtel La Tamise. (Although, if on a longer vacay, I strongly recommend changing areas.) Only complaint...clean the shower head in Rm 10. Thank you Hôtel La Tamise for being a huge part of the reason my trip was so incredible!!

It's far more affordable than other hotels I've stayed in Paris, and although it's small without a ton of amenities, I'd rather be paying for the location than anything else. My room (facing the street) was mostly quiet aside from some usual street noise (nothing major). It was also very reasonably sized and comfortable. The bathroom was especially nice, with a rain shower and good water pressure. The staff was kind, offering to hold my luggage and letting me know my room would be ready early in the day (which was great after my red-eye flight from the US). I would definitely stay at this hotel again. I had nothing to complain about!
