I really loved this spot. Right next to the river with an outside and inside seating area. Very nice people serving up great drinks and amazing dishes.

    Spaetzel with mushrooms

Had two of our best meals here. The spaetzel with bacon and the spaetzel with mushrooms were amazing. The pork knuckle was one of the best I have ever had. Great service and beautiful view.

La Corde a Lingue We arrived in Strasbourg rather late in the evening. Most of the restaurants were in the process of closing, except for La Corde a Lingue. The restaurant has a very large outdoor seating area that was still completely full at 9.30pm. We ordered a goat cheese salad and their selection board. Of course, we included a bottle of Rose. Overall, the service was prompt and the food well prepared. The goat cheese salad was especially good. We returned to the restaurant for lunch our last day in Strasbourg. Again, the service was good and our lunches quickly serviced. Overall, a very nice place to relax under the trees and enjoy your meal.

    Restaurant Name means laundry line/cord

This place stands out for its amazing location overlooking the amazing river view from any table you're seated. It used to be a laundromat or laundry cleaning place before thus the name which means a laundry hanging cord. Patio is under a large tree shaded area with umbrellas providing as well. It's a casual and touristy vibe. Food was delicious and tasty and our plates arrived warm and fresh. Service is amazing and the servers speak English and will help you with the French printed menu. Bathroom is downstairs as most restaurants in France and no street parking or parking garage available around you just have to walk or take a taxi.Great atmosphere and worth visiting.

Wowee, what a complete treat! A really great find during the busy Christmas Market season. Affordable meal for two with an app, 2 entrees, two drinks and dessert coming in at 55€. We ended up going back twice due to the busy Christmas market season and enjoyed another great meal! Some of the best spatzle I've had!

An adorable, cute spot right on the river and close to the shopping streets and the town center. It was such a nice place, the menu is in French and English. The wait staff are extremely nice, and the food .... ummmm the food .... was ... AMAZING!! I order the 13€ pasta at the end of the pasta menu OMFG SO AMAZINGGGGG!!! My husband ordered the duck leg with roasted potatoes and an extra side of sauerkraut!!! YUMMM. EVERYTHING WAS SOOOOOO GOOD! I wish There was leftovers just so I could have it a second time! But just means we will have to go back for more!!

We are on a Viking Cruise and it's been absolutely amazing. After our excursion was over, I couldn't wait to try this place we passed. I went inside and the gentleman said sit anywhere. I had picked a water view and couldnt wait for my husband to come out of the bathroom to join. I watched the server pass me 5 times as he took the drink orders from all the tables that sat around after me and not even a greet for me. Finally he comes up to me with anger and says the reserve sign wasn't facing down and stormed away. I went up to him while he went inside and i said to him while holding the reserved sign, sir am i not to sit there? I am from America and dont understand. He said you will not make a fool Of me. I was appalled!!! Ive never been treated like this ever!!! ASK ME TO MOVE and Don't ignore me! Educate me!!!!! The lady apologized and asked me to sit...by This point i threw the reserved sign and said no thank you!!! VERY SAD TO TREAT A PAYING CUSTOMER THIS WAY!!! Such terrible customer service!!!!!!!

Must get the duck leg. It was good. Nice to try a different kind of cuisine when visiting a country. It's a shame duck is not more popular in Nevada. The service can be a little slow or maybe very slow but worth the chance to try the duck. I had a beer with I think orange juice in it. That beer was the best dessert a man can get.

Food and drinks were great. Service was extremely slow and actually getting your food and drinks took even longer. But they were slammed and looked to be the busiest restaurant in town. Except for that frustration, i'd go back next time I'm in Strasbourg. Prices were reasonable and the servers were polite and friendly and did their best.

Great meal- staff was timely with our order, drinks and food. The atmosphere is Incredible, food reasonably priced. Will recommend! Food was delicious we tried two dishes and shared. More than enough food. Delicious potatoes and meatballs with mustard sauce!

We had dinner here on a rainy night. Surprisingly, it was still packed on a Wednesday evening but we were able to score a table for three after a short 5 minute wait. Service and personnel were very good, friendly, and personable. The food was very good too! I had a different version of jambon and spaetzle with cream sauce as the items weren't mixed/cooked together as I'd expected. However, upon combining on my plate and eating, it was fantastic. My wife had spaetzle covered with a red pasta-like sauce. It was good and a different take on pasta with tomato sauce. I'd like to go back during nice weather and eat on the terrace; that just wasn't possible with the entire day of rain we experienced.

    Great cheeseburger with extra bacon

Great food & great service at an affordable price! I had the cheeseburger which was excellent. Be aware though that they don't serve fries. My wife had the ham hock and it was juicy & tender. It reminded us of an episode of Man Vs. Food!

For location this place gets 5 stars and the food is ok at 3 stars but the service is less than 1 star. We stopped here for lunch and it took them 30 mins to get to us. Ok it was past the normal French 2pm lunch time but they said they were serving lunch and so we decided to eat there. The lady who was serving us was polite and friendly when she did get to us but after serving us our meals took off as her shift had ended and none of the other staff were interested in helping us either. It got to a point where I wanted to leave without paying the bill as they forgot the milk for the coffee and did not bother asking if we wanted dessert even though the waitress said she would come back and take dessert orders. Places like this survive on tourism and should know better and understand that not everyone speaks French. I would never return to this place. Funny enough whilst we were there two other groups came in and left as there was no one taking their orders. I am sure my review won't make a difference but no matter what else you have lack of poor service does not compensate for the view or the food.

This restaurant is now going to be haunting me in my dreams it was that good . First off, the onion tart is crack. The perfect crust with fluffy eggs and onions and bacon. I would say generally I'm not the biggest fan of quiches, but the onion tart is a must. Then we had the white asparagus special with a soft boiled egg and lentils with the most flavorful dressing ever. I was with my two daughters and wife and we split the onion tart and asparagus special as an appetizer, and literally a fight almost broke out among us. Then we split the steak, pork filet and potato pancakes. Just absolutely delicious. My older daughter does not like salad and she actually couldn't believe she liked the side salad that came with her steak. Not the lame iceberg bagged salad mix you get it some restaurants. This was frise, endive and radicchio in a vinaigrette that was spot on. Best french fries ever as a side on the pork fillet. Incredible home fries as the side on the steak. I wish I would've taken photos to post, but the dishes were getting destroyed as soon as they came out. We had the rhubarb pie as a dessert and Panna cotta. We are coming back tomorrow for lunch and getting the asparagus and tart again. It was that good.

The restaurant is very cozy and it was fairly busy yet we found a table after a short wait! We started off with a couple of appetizers: sunflower/pumpkin soup and eggs/potato quiche! For the main entrees, we ordered regional dishes such as sausage/pork with sauerkraut along with a very delicious venison with mashed potates! The food at this restaurant is extremely delicious and their cooking is much more German influenced rather than typical french food! Overall this was a great lunch experience and we also got to enjoy the Alsac cuisine which was an added bonus!

We came in for lunch and went with the market menu they were offering. We also ended up adding a cheese course, because when in France! Can't say no to cheese! I don't know if it's the primacy effect, but I loved the first course. It was like a little egg soup dish. So warm and hearty, it was just comforting. Everything else was good too, but the cheese was a major highlight for me. The waiter selected a sampling of cheeses for us from a huge cheese cart. It was fun to watch and see all the cheeses on display.

And when your walking tour guide tells you a fun story about a Michelin-starred restaurant and it's interesting name, you decide to take yourself there. I haven't been to a Michelin-starred restaurant in a very long time and I have never been to one alone, but it was still a lovely experience. The staff was very attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The food was inventive and enjoyable, though I admit I had a hard time understanding the waitstaff sometimes, so I wasn't always sure what I was eating, but luckily I'm willing to eat anything. I had the discovery menu (appetizer, fish, entree, dessert), 3-course wine pairing, coffee, and the restaurant's "extras" which included some very tasty amuse bouche at the beginning, small desserts with the coffee, and even a cookie to take a home. I did not order from the cheese cart, but it was fun to watch it wheeled out for others. For a Michelin restaurant, I found it very reasonably priced and accessible, though I'm not sure I can say I was completely blown away by the food (wine was fantastic, though). But I did see the crocodile! Which is where the restaurant gets it's name: in the 1800s a sailor came back from Egypt with a stuffed crocodile and had the bright idea to use it as a marketing (who wouldn't want to see a stuffed crocodile?!?)
