    Largest board
    Caroline P.

My boyfriend and I came here for a late lunch, we split the largest board which was enough for two of us and very good - a lot of variety but we both liked everything on the plate. There were lentils, cheese, pickles, tuna, turkey, carrot salad, and a few spreads. Everything on the board complimented each other really well, I was impressed I also had the mint tea and just like the reviews said, it was quite sweet but I still liked it. Next time I think I'd ask for less sugar but it was still very good and fresh. It was definitely a busy place but the service was good and if I lived closer I'd come back again and try a quiche.

    Planchette with 4 ingredients

I came here twice in the 3 days I spent in Strasbourg: once for lunch and once for dinner. Both times they were pretty busy, although since it was nice out, everyone ate outside and it was almost empty inside. The café is located close to the Strasbourg Cathedral and there are many other cafés and restaurants nearby. For lunch, the formule midi was a very reasonably priced 12€ and included your choice of main, dessert, and coffee or mint tea. For my main I picked the planchette, a charcuterie board with your pick of 4 "ingredients"; my favorite was the pesto. The planchette came with bread. I had a very tasty molten chocolate cake with crème anglaise and whipped cream for dessert. (The table next to me ordered some very impressive looking milkshakes, which I regret not getting the chance to try.) I also ordered their Jeannette au Maroc, a mint tea infusion that was delicious, but clearly had a lot of sugar in it; if you want to cut down on the sugar, they are willing to make it with the sugar on the side. When I came back for dinner the next day, I had the meat pie, which came with a side of greens. (I ordered the Jeannette au Maroc again as well.) The meat pie was tasty, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did the planchette. I believe the café makes the meat pie at the start of the day and serves it throughout the day; the waitress had to verify that they still had it when I ordered. The staff were reasonably friendly, although because it got so busy, service could be a bit slow and sometimes the servers needed reminding of what you had or hadn't ordered. There was a lot of indoor seating, including an upstairs seating area. The upstairs bathrooms were pretty clean, but small.

Possibly the best quiche in the world

Best quiche I've ever eaten... still dreaming about it and trying to recreate it at home.

    Perfect Quiche

This cafe/restaurant/bar has the best Quiche Lorraine I've ever tried. Light, moist and fluffy. It's perfect. The staff is attentive and quick, which I've found the be on the rare side living here in Strasbourg. Their cocktail list and tap beer selection is robust as well. The ambiance is casual. Jeannette plays an always changing mix of rockabilly and 50-60's rock; including the likes of Elvis, Johnny Cash, etc. The place occasionally hosts bands, events with an edge, and one would think they sponsor roller-derby teams as well. If you're in Strasbourg, it's a great place to stop in for a food, a drink, or repose from exploring the city.

This restaurant is known for its quiche and it lived up to the high expectations. The salad and soup was excellent as well. Great place for an affordable bite to eat.

Lovely place for a nice easy lunch. We enjoyed salads and cafe gourmand for dessert! The service was a little slow, but super friendly. Great spot!

A wonderful surprise!!! Service was superb... the cheese board with raisins, walnuts and handmade olive tamponade and sun-dried tomato pesto were excellent ... and the red wine we chose was exceptional!!

    Strawberry mint milkshake

A cute little bar/cafe that we stumbled upon after visiting the Cathedral. The staff speaks English so definitely a plus for this non speaking French person. They don't have an extensive menu, just a few things but everything we had was tasty. Tried the house fois gras which was really good & both the quiches on their menu & they were also both tasty. They also have a good selection of milkshakes, My husband scored big time since he loves him some milkshake! He got the strawberry mint milkshake & was a happy camper. I got their mint tea which is really just fresh mint & hot water & it really hit the spot. We actually ended up coming back to this place late at night because we couldn't find another place open in the area. It was actually quite the happening place late night. For our second time around we got a bowl of soup & something called Paire De Knacks which is basically 2 hot dogs, a slice of bread & mustard. Not bad but i preferred our lunch items better. All in all though i think this is a cool little hang out spot and they play really good music too!

The quiche was great! I don't think I've ever had a better slice of quiche. Friendly servers and place has a fun relaxed vibe.

The quiche is indeed very good. The sausages were ... less exciting. Staff very attentive and and pleasant. Nice selection of drinks.

We then shared a tapas of local cheese, potato salad, sour cream dip and terrine, then had a quiche each.

As I was exploring some cities along the Rhein I found myself craving a really good cup of coffee at a really good coffee shop. I'm talking a third wave, artisanal, single-origin, bordering on pretentious, independent coffee shop. Yelp led me to Cafe Bretelles and I was not disappointed! Don't be turned off by what looks like a tiny coffee shop- there's a second level with more seating if the outdoor seats and first level are full. Just place your order at the counter and take a table number. We got an oat milk cappuccino (1 shot of espresso and steamed milk), an oat milk flat white (2 shots espresso and steamed milk), a hot chocolate, and a shot of espresso. The espresso-based drinks were just what I was after. They were rich, bold, and creamy. The hot chocolate was more like warm than hot, but packed on the flavor. Overall, this is a spot I'd frequent for if I was in Strasbourg more often. For now, it'll be a fond memory of a perfect cup of coffee in a sea of underwhelming hotel coffee.

Finally found it and was underwhelming. It was a micro place with seating for 6 people, one seat available and I sat there while my wife ordered. We were told we could not be served, we asked if we could wait inside and rudely told we have to wait outside in the cold. Don't come here there are plenty of bakeries that serve cappuccinos. I am writing his review while siting inside Secret De Table with plenty of seating where it is warm and drinking a great cappuccino.

You can also pay 24 euros for the entire day or 240 euros for the whole month. When you check in at the front counter, you get a card that keeps track of your time. Advice: students get 10% off and members (free of charge and requires filling out a simple form or sending an email) get 15% off for durations over two hours. The discount comes in handy if you stay the entire day. You can also print up to 10 pages for free and pay a small fee for each additional page afterward. The cafe is spacious with an upstairs conference room, two toilets, a variety of different seating arrangements, and plenty of space to find a spot to work. There are small lockers for storing your items if you decide to come in and out during the course of the day. You can even find board games and books to read! The owners and baristas are all very friendly and can answer any questions you may have. I've found this place to be a great spot to increase my productivity or simply to hang out with friends. I highly recommend checking this place out!
