We then split a vegetable salad that was topped with fresh balsamic and olive oil, bread, phenomenal Cacaio e Pepe and a pizza. They cook the pizza on a wood fire grill so we had to try it! One of the servers kept telling other tables about "cake" so of course we inquired and settled on chocolate. It was delicious! Service was great and accommodating to English which was helpful. Turns out that this year, Lucca was hosting the Italy Comics Convention during that same wknd. Soo...the city was packed. I am NOT a fan of ribolitta, but apparently - my husband is! Ribolitta is famous Tuscan soup, a hearty potage made with bread and vegetables. Tortellini Lucchesi al Ragu, 8 e - meat sauce with your tortellini, can't go wrong with that right? Pizza all'arrabiata with mozzarella, 5 e - you can't go wrong w/ the basic tomato based pizza!
