Things may be different if you were at the main studio. At the elk mound studio it was…read moredisappointing. Our first year was fantastic so I was hopeful we found a forever studio. However this year was anything but that. First we were shown costumes at the beginning of the year that would be for their spring show. I understand distribution is rough right now but we got clothes from target. Like still had rags on looked bought that day. All dancers from the main studio for hip hop had legitimate costumes. Not just play clothes. When I asked the director about it she had an attitude and said that she spent how much I paid for costumes on those clothes. Ummm I didn't give you the money for clothes I could have gone and bought myself. My son was thoroughly disappointed. Though as one of the only boys at the studio he felt more like an accessory than a dancer. Looking at other kids there age level my kids are behind on skills. Needless to say we are switching dance company's next season. Highly disappointed with the experience and how I was talked to when my concerns were raised.

I've done yoga in California, India, Boston, Mexico, Vancouver, Puerto Rico, Texas, Hawaii, Wisconsin, San Francisco and even an Ashram in the Bahamas. I look for a spiritual experience that will also move my body toward it's best. I always want to be learning. The best yoga experiences are where there's no judgment, everyone is made to feel welcome and accepted no matter where they're at in their yoga practice and lives. When I walk into Lipa it just feels good and I know it's going to be the best part of my day. I leave feeling refreshed and grounded. The teachers are exceptional. Everyone is kind. Having just moved back to Wisconsin after 30 years in California I was surprised and delighted to find a studio like Lipa. I feel at home. The studio is very clean, the energy is calm and light. There are always all levels, yet it caters to a great experience for all. Even my partner goes and is feeling the love :) I highly recommend the meditation experience at Lipa also. We had the place to ourselves. She was absolutely WONDERFUL! My son's even commented "that was pretty cool mom" and they continued to practice the moves. We had been doing a lot of biking and hiking the previous days and I was really sore. The next morning I woke up feeling FANTASTIC! If we lived in the area, I would have signed us up.
