My…read morehusband and I had booked them for our October 2016 wedding and they were both very down-to-earth and friendly from the beginning; months prior to our wedding, we were invited to their home for a tasting featuring several items from one of their menus, and we were blown away by how delicious everything was and how much care went into making us and our families feel welcome. They were very timely in keeping in touch with us and answering our many questions leading up to the wedding day. On the day itself, we (and our guests) were so happy with the quality of the food and the service, as well as the service of the catering staff and bartender. Guests couldn't stop talking about how good the buffet was, and I was especially grateful that they did such a nice job of serving the homemade wedding cakes I brought to the venue (it was wonderful that they wrapped up individual slices and set them out on the tables for people to take home, which was such a nice touch!). In spite of some minor hiccups on my part, they handled everything with grace and understanding, making our event a memorable one that our guests still commend to this day. It was definitely apparent that Donna and Bob knew what they were doing and I'm so glad we chose them for our wedding. Gavin and his team were incredibly responsive and quick to reply with additional details. The location was beautiful, relaxing, & pretty quiet and we were able to sit outside and work on the wifi. The food sections run the Irish Pub gamut and the bar is pretty and calling for a hang out and conversation. As a pescatarian & vegetarian there's not a lot of options and we weren't jazzed about landing here just on the menu - but the environment and the sweet staff trumped our lack of enthusiasm for the menu. That said the seafood chowder was much creamy fishy yumminess. I almost orders a second one. A great place for a golf meal stop (they even have takeout beer!!) or an afternoon of self employment work w/wifi on the back patio (it's range is limited - no front patio) There is a healthy population of little birds out here nesting in the shutter gaps. I had contacted D&G catering in October 2013 a year before our wedding asking that we use their services. The owner said she was available and around April we should come in for a taste test and pick our menu. The owner was a little difficult to get a hold of, when we finally set a time to do our taste testing, she told me it would be 25$ per person to do the tasting. She had us meet her at her home.... Which is actually where she does all her catering out of. The food was ok, she ended up charging us 50$ per person when we got there. I was a little annoyed but her pricing was pretty reasonable so we let it go. She asked that we have a finalized menu to her by June. The first week of June I sent her our finalized menu... I called her, emailed her & facebooked her... I didn't hear anything back... finally two weeks later she responds to me via Facebook message that she was "busy with lots of things" she'd call me back In the earlier part of the week and shed work up the contract for me. I still didn't hear anything from her so I called her againg...this is now the last week of June. She doesn't call me back.. a few days later she sends me a Facebook message! Saying she'd be going on vacation and she'd call me when she gets back. It's now July 17th I haven't herd anything from her I call her... Email her and get nothing. At this point I started looking for another caterer because I'm not going to beg someone to pay them! August 8th (less then 2 months before our wedding) she finally responds to me via FACEBOOK!!!! Saying she's been very busy to please send me the date of my wedding,time and place! And she'd work up the price for me and get me the contract. I was pretty disgusted, she already had all that information and it was a little disheartening she obviously had no intention on showing up the day of our wedding. This was the last time I herd from her, being it was less then two months before the wedding id luckily found another company to do the job. Needless to say dooooo not use this catering service they are very unprofessional and unreliable. I was very disappointed!
