However as time went on they became less responsive, at one point providing no communication for 5 weeks. They never sent personalized budget sheets or planning timelines. They continued to tell us that they would keep us within our budget but then didn't help book any vendors. By the time we decided to terminate services we were 5-10k over our initial budget. Although we paid for full planning services we received very little assistance and guidance. My fiancée and I found ourselves more stressed with these wedding planners. For a while we were like nah, we don't need a planner we got this. And we did! The problem came when the execution of the wedding itself came into play. Who would cue the entrance, who would manage the vendors, who would guide the guest transitions, who would check the audio, who would make sure the cake topper made it to the cake, who would make sure our card box got back to us safe and sound? After seeing Alejandro in action it's truly terrifying to think that we were even considering not having a same day coordinator. And let me tell you ... we picked the best of the best! I mean, seriously go to this guy's reviews and IG photos. It's obvious we are not the only ones who share our love of this man and his wedding coordination/planning skills. He was organized, positive, fun (!), and very obviously knew what he was doing. Alejandro and Sparkle Events felt like a friend or a family member who cared as much as we did about having the best wedding ever. Sometimes we'd be like ... let's do this! And he'd be like, I like that but here are some things to think about based on what I've seen. (SO HELPFUL!) He'd listen to our ideas and always try to make it work. He made our day so special. Terrible customer service! We came to this business excited to plan our 1st baby shower. They…read morerequire a deposit to save the date then 2 scheduled payments. Unfortunatly 1.5 months before our event we lost the baby. We let them know literally the same week we found out about the lost of our child which was over a month before our event date. instead of mourning we've been going back and forth trying to get refunded for our payment NOT the deposit just our payment. 4 weeks later they gave in to refunding the payment, initiated a partial refund then reversed it all and stopped answering their phone/messages. I took a chance on a local company but shouldve known better then to trust a business thats not even registered on BBB! Terrible lack of empathy and customer service.
