If an Italian restaurant can't cook a decent lasagne then theres really no hope. Thankfully it was really delicious and a very decent portion. Always reassuring to find a bay leaf buried inside! It tasted very fresh and very home made. Friendly service, nicely paced, myself and my friends really enjoyed having a late, leisurely lunch here. Peroni on draught is a nice touch.

I must say we were very impressed with how friendly the staff are at 'la cantina', we received amazing service and would return again. I loved the whole feel to the place, we both left very satisfied and jolly. The staff seemed to have such a happy nature which just passed along too everybody. Overall a great experience! We paid around 120 euro for apero, main course, deserts, multiple drinks and coffee for 4 people. Service was quick and waiters were being very attentive if everything was going smoothly. The waiters were doing their best to serve us in English, though the language barrier gives somewhat the perception that they are pushy and maybe not always friendly - but that is only a perception I think. They were doing their best and were working hard. Tables are maybe a bit small and once the crowd starts coming in the restaurant it starts feeling a bit as a factory because there is so much activity around you. Would recommend to try out this place if you are looking for a regular evening dinner and not something fancy. One less positive point for me though was that no one in the kitchen was wearing face masks appropriately which is remarkable in COVID times (although I appreciate that working in a busy and hot kitchen with face mask might not be straightforward...)
