An excellent place to visit if you are holidaying on the island of Lanzarote. We arrived before it opened for the first tour, which wont set off for around 15-20 mins after opening, until they have enough people. This irked me a bit, waiting for a large group for the tour to start. We then ended up at the end of group as everyone who spoke Spanish was let on ahead while the English spiel was given. Oh well. Apart from that the tour was excellent. The cave system very impressive. The guide was a nice lady with good English and German, so most visitors were catered for. Worth a look. PS if you travel further up the road towards Orzola, on the right there will be a scattering of lovely beaches. There is parking here too, so pack your trunks too if you make the drive up to La Cueva de los Verdes. read more

What a feeling walking underground along tunnels carved out by molten rock. The atmosphere is amazing, as many previous reviewers have stated the big surprise is fantastic, it is an unwritten law that you never mention the big surprise in any review! Such a tactile experience. read more
Awesome "cave", which is actually a 7 km long tunnel, formed by lava about 5000 years ago. Not overly touristic, and definitely not for old or very tall people, the one hour guided tour gives an interesting view into what the lava looks like from the inside. Narrow passages in two levels, about 1 km walk, and with a surprise at the end. Highly recommended when visiting the island. Tip: try to be among the first to follow the guide if you want to hear and experience everything in the best possible way. read more

Brilliant guided tour of underground caves which were formed as a result of volcanic activity. A word of warning though, in my opinion this would not be suitable for anyone who is a bit unsteady on their pins as it is quite steep and uneven underfoot at parts. It also wouldn't suit anyone who feels claustrophobic in dark or restricted spaces as it is quite narrow in parts and the use of lighting for effect can make it feel smaller than it is in other areas. However, if you're fine on those two points this place is a must visit on any trip to Lanzarote. The guide is amusing and informative and the caves are amazing. The highlight of the tour comes near the end, however I can't tell you what it is as it would spoil it if I did - just be prepared to be amazed! read more

A great place to visit. If you're very tall be careful you really have to mind your head as you almost crawl through tunnels and the jagged surfaces can scratch. The guide is informative, although his accent it very strong and speech is very fast, which means you really have to pay careful attention to understand. There is a big surprise at the end. A must see place for anyone visiting the island. read more

Si vais a Lanzarote no os lo podéis perder... read more
