Pure Let Down! If I could give no stars I would. This firm shouldn't even be in business. They have no loyalty to their clients and their own retainer agreement (contract). When I first solicited their services for my fiancé a few months ago I was in full disclosure on the representation needed for his case. I was initially referred by a family friend to visit Levone. He scheduled me same day at his office and seemed to push this case towards his associate Michael Burg because he had no time (which was the last time I spoke to him). As we went over the retainer and payment plan I agreed, signed and gave $2,000 up front. Obviously they would never tell their new clients that representation would be terminated a day before court for the arraignment!!! Anyway, Last court day (Dec 16th)everything seemed to go smoothly. Michael, gave us info on the next court appearance and said that he will keep in touch and see us then. That was the last we spoke to him. Usually the communications would be between my fiancé and Michael. My Fiancé would text him before the court appearance to get a heads up. Everything seemed fine until 17 hours before court today 1/6/16. I received a call from Levone whom I haven't heard from in months. His call started off by reminding me about my Fiancés court appearance at 8:30am. I knew that was a red flag since he was calling me and it wasn't Michael calling my fiancé. Then he states that Michael was not going to make it. I was infuriated with their lack of communication and lack of professionalism. What firm tells their clients fiancé over the phone at 3:30pm the day before that their attorney is no longer representing them. Calmly, I expressed my dissatisfaction and made him aware that his associate Michael never mentioned that he would not appear at court or that he wasn't going to represent him. Leaving us with no time to seek private representation elsewhere and with no alternative but to go to court and left out to dry... I rushed home and told my fiancé about the disturbing call and he spoke to Michael. His horrible response was I thought I told you... No Buddy... You didn't and you could at least be a man and own up to it! Also, get this he advised him to look over the retainer agreement because supposedly it was clear on there. So then we went over the retainer agreement and my fiancé texted him this: I read the felony retainer agreement (contract)as you advised. My case # hasn't changed so it's considered same case. Furthermore, on the 2. Attorneys duties: second sentence it states that representation can terminate after a plea;which hasn't taken place. 7th sentence states that I understand that you will appear "for preliminary hearing purposes only" at ANY preliminary hearing that occurs on this case. Lastly, I think it is very unprofessional and un ethical for you to not even contact me and have Levone contact my girl with this last minute situation. You never mentioned anything to me at my last court date and made us believe you were still representing me. I don't appreciate your lack of communication on my case that is very important to me and my family. If you really cared about your clients you would inform them about this misleading agreement and give them Proper notice to find other representation. Also, discovery was dropped off the night before court and still nobody showed up. I will never recommend them to anyone. If they wanted more money they should have just asked. The bottom line... it's not about the money for us because we would have paid it! There are many other firms and now word will spread about their bad service towards clients. read more

I have been working with Attorney Levon Kyurkchyan from LA Defense Team. He is the BEST lawyer that anybody can work with! I called at first just to find out what their rates were for the kind of charges that I had. Levon told me that he DOES NOT CHARGE for his phone consultations and everything that we say on that phone call is confidential. At this time, it was about 9:00 PM, and Levon patiently listened to my long story while he was out of the office with his family. That was very selfish of me to keep him on the phone, but he insisted, so I explained everything to him. I felt that I could trust him just by how he talked, so I opened up to him. We spoke for about an hour on the phone, and then I asked for how much it would cost for him to take my case. He gave me such a LOW price...I just couldn't believe it was true. I thought, "How could some rich lawyer spend this much time on a phone call with me just to ask for such a low price to take my case...there must be some trick." As good as it gets! I did the crime but couldn't pay the fine....or take time off work for the arraignment and trial. Levon Kyurkchyan accepted my case, went to court for me, charged less than other lawyers, and got the case dismissed. Completely. as in NO SIGN OF IT WHATSOEVER ON RECORD NOW I'm not sure if LA Defense Team will be happy about my sharing all these details, but here's what happened: 1. I waited until the day before the arraignment to hire a lawyer. Kyurkchyan fit it into his schedule at the last minute and went to court so that i didn't have to miss work...who am i kidding. I could have gone to court that morning. I just really didn't want to. 2. He let me pay the legal fee in installments and gave me an extra week bc i didn't have it all at that time. 3. I asked him to see if they could postpone the trial. The incident took place in October 2011 and the court date was last week - August 2012. So, yes, postponement accomplished. 4. At the outset, he told me to email the details of the incident. I did so and somehow he used that info to get the case dismissed. I'm not sure how. You can ask him yourself. Like I said, I had been caught red handed and admitted it. Now that I've learned my lesson, I never want to think or speak of this or get in trouble ever again.
