Elliot is such an efficient attorney. I went to at least 5 different attornies who told me my case was in limbo. I had a domestic battery 243(e) in 2016 and due to that, I lost my working permit (initial lawyer was incompetent and misadvised me). If you are looking for a good lawyer, Elliot Zarabi is not the guy you're looking for. If you want a con artist that will do and say whatever it takes to get your money, then hire him. First of all, he is extremely professional in consultations and phone conversations which are all a facade that he is hard at work to help you in your case. He thinks he is a master manipulator and will be on top of his game to provide you with documents and all you need to set court dates and to stave off arrests or trouble with the DMV at first. He will tell you what you want to hear and misinform you of your rights and they to pursuade you to take a "deal" especially because he has no trial experience and performs poorly in front of a judge. He showed up to my court appointments unprepared and plead me out guilty as if I had no other choice in a trial by judge when I specifically told him I wanted a trial by jury. Don't let his office or expensive suits fool you, he is a crook that is lazy and inexperienced in court. He was disrespectful in court, acted like a big shot and spent much of his time on his cell phone fielding other calls and trying to reel in other unsuspecting victims/clients. He was very arrogant and rude during court proceedings and I was in complete shock how he handled my case. I know 100% that I lost my case due to his behavior and mishandling of the facts and my case. He puts on a good face until when you really need him and when it counts, and that's in court. He was on his cell phone in the bull pen, used foul language in front of judges clerk, bailiff and staff and tried to crack disrespectful jokes and crude sexual innuendos thinking that that type of behavior is okay in court. I had to sue to get a refund of all that was paid to him. I now have a record because he had no idea what he was doing in court and it showed. Do not hire this man. I thought he cared about his clients until he showed me red flags along the way and I ignored my intuition. He will try to coax you to hire him through persuasion and "acting" like he cares. He even made the statement to me in his office once, "I normally don't care about my other clients, but you make it easy to work for." That says it all right there. This is beyond losing a case, this is the truth and if I can save someone else from the agony and stress of paying him thousands for a legal ponzi scheme where he pretends he's hard at work for you, when his assistants drum up most of the paperwork and then he sells you out in court. I had no prior history and the court provided no evidence against me proving that I was guilty. It was literally the LAPD and judge against his arrogant and unprepared tactics. He did not stand a chance. Hire someone experienced with a great track record. This guy needs to back to being a used luxury car salesman. Thoroughly impressed by Elliot's work on my case. I found Elliot through a friend who had used him for his DUI case. My friend is a pretty picky guy, so the fact that he said he trusted Elliot was enough to push me into giving him a call. I went in for my free consultation to his office in downtown LA. His secretary led me to his office and the moment I sat down, we were down to business. He took down my information and began making phone calls on the spot. LAPD detectives are difficult to get ahold of to say the least but Elliot cleverly used a couple tactics to finally get on the phone with someone. That was pretty impressive considering none of the other lawyers I had spoken to had been able to get ahold of anyone. He scribbled down some information from the conversation, found out what department my case had gone to, found out where my case file was currently being reviewed, and immediately we got to it. The guy was able to tell me who was in charge of what department within the court system, went through scenarios A-Z, and went straight into strategy. He kept assuring me everything would be fine. I didn't have high hopes but I let him take over from that point on. Every week he was sending me updates on my case. Pretty soon, the list of possible scenarios had decreased and within 3 weeks, he got my case dismissed. He had told me there would be a small chance of dismissal but he had also prepped me for the worst so I was pretty shocked at the outcome. To my dismay I found out I had a four month old warrant for failure to pay on a third DUI offense. Here I was three classes away from my exit interview for my 18 month program and thinking all was fine. Boy was I scared.
